He knows young woke people won't vote for him so why even try. He's going after the people in the flyover states who voted for Trump but are now sitting on the fence, in his mind the key to winning in 2020.
‘He’s going after people who actually vote.

Here's something that might not be obvious. Malarkey is a kind of nostalgic word. I was at my niece's 20th birthday party. They were listening to 1920's music. I think 20 somethings are a more eclectic group today then when I was 20 ( in the 80's). They might like the "no malarkey" mantra.

IMO Bernie and Gabbard are the most able to go after that demographic. If they team up, or at least one on their own, there'a a chance.
Gabbard is a gun-grabbing green new dealer.
Bernie has decades of experience as a Democratic Socialist.

Biden, Buttigieg, Bullock, Klobuchar, and all the white representatives who won those districts but since dropped out could all do better than Gabbard and Bernie at winning back the upper midwest Obama-Trump voters.

The list of people who can't is probably shorter: Harris, Steyer, and Bloomberg.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't get the Gabbard meme beyond having a killer smile. Her platform is hilariously to the left of where you all seem to pretend it is, but because she, like every other Democrat, pans the Iraq war, and her cult and/or religion won't accept Mayor Pete, suddenly she has this working-class voter appeal?

She's basically who Fox News puts on after their viewers pop a viagra to fap to Nikki Haley, realize they can't fap to that, and need to call an audible on the sexy blitz to defend against the blue balls when Ainsley is off camera.

The EC will never go away. Getting rid of it would require a Constitutional amendment, and on no planet will the small states vote to give up their political power, fairness be damned.

Bitching about losing because of the EC's lack of fairness ain't gonna get anybody in the WH.
States can and have passed laws for EC to vote same way popular vote does.

Wow, minimizing her anti-interventionist stance while holding her to a position that she held 20 years ago. Fecal 101.

End regime change wars
Regime change wars — toppling foreign governments we don’t like — have drained our country of trillions of dollars, undermined our national security, and cost the lives of thousands of our men and women in uniform. My first responsibility as your Commander in Chief will be to put an end to this disastrous foreign policy that has been perpetuated by warmongers in both political parties.

End the new Cold War and nuclear arms race
Shortsighted, self-serving leaders in the grip of the military industrial complex have brought us into a new Cold War and nuclear arms race with Russia and China, threatening the future of the planet and the entire human race. On day one of my presidency, I will call a summit between the United States, China, and Russia to work to end this new Cold War, stop the arms race, reduce tensions, and increase cooperation going forward.

Invest in the needs of the American people
I will be your voice in Washington. I will put an end to the failed policy of being the world’s police and nation builder, redirecting the trillions of dollars wasted on regime change wars and weapons to meet your needs here at home. We will work side-by-side, treating others with respect, and ensure a cleaner, safer, and healthier future for all Americans.

Care for our veterans
It is our nation’s responsibility to ensure that our veterans receive the care, services, and benefits they’ve earned and deserve. Taking care of our brothers and sisters in uniform who have selflessly served our country must be a priority for Congress and our country. To honor our veterans, military service members, and their families for their service to our great country, it is my personal commitment to never send our troops into harms’ way unless it is absolutely necessary.

Protect our civil liberties
Our right to privacy, guaranteed by the 4th Amendment of the Constitution, is constantly under attack by overreaching intelligence agencies and big tech monopolies that falsely invoke national security to take away our civil liberties, privacy, and freedoms.

Protect the Second Amendment while ensuring gun safety
I will uphold our constitutional right to bear arms while also upholding our responsibility to keep our children and communities safe from people who seek to do us harm.

End the failed war on drugs
The failed war on drugs is an attack on our values of freedom and fairness as Americans. In recent years, many states have taken initiative by legalizing marijuana, reforming drug laws and sentencing guidelines, and winding down the “War on Drugs.” Now it’s time for the federal government to do its part.

All of those issues would be enough to give any candidate a vote. The rest of her issues are way to the left of what I prefer, but there's no such thing as a perfect candidate. And when there's this much anti-interventionism and American First going on, its a slam dunk

Which is somewhat redundant since the EC voters have placed their vote in line with the popular vote nearly every single election ever, and doesn't really solve the problem of the EC since the vote is still based on state rather than US population

these are good headlines, but there is very little meat in the body

(I'd give her body some meat)

I am not "holding her" to anything; I stated as a fact that her religion and/or cult doesn't hold with Mayor Pete. I am aware she has changed her position.

She voted against the conceal-carry reciprocity bill. She voted for the background checks bill. She voted for the Domestic Violence/Stalking victims act.

Regime change has been out of style, except among retards like Trump and his anti-Iranian ilk, for 15 years.
Wasting money on defense spending is a GOP staple; any Democrat would be a massive improvement.
Pretending to care about veterans is nonsense, nobody cares.
Tulsi isn't doing sh!t about the NSA and wanting to go after Fakebook is Pocahontas-tier, but you do you.
I already addressed the gun issue.
Joe Biden and Bloomberg are basically the only War on Drugs democrats in the race.

Here's the first sentence. The mufckng thesis:

"We can and must begin to build a 100% renewable energy economy."

Yeah I'm sure this collection of Open Borders wet dreams is going to play well in Wasau and Waukesha:
  • H.R. 3440 DREAM Act
  • H.R. 532 Dreamer Information Protection Act, which prohibits using DACA hearings for deportation
  • H.R. 496 Bridge Act, which codifies the DACA program
  • H.R. 392: Tulsi co-sponsored the Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act, which would remove the existing per-country cap on employment-based green cards and ensure all immigrants are treated equally regardless of their country of origin.

I mean other than her Greta-tier autism I kind of like Gabbard.

But you people who think she is actually a centrist are high.

I repeat, you people are on drugs, and would probably blow livestock to hear about Compassionate Conservatism.

Neither the party apparatus nor the party members are supporting Gabbard to any significant degree. At most she's the Ron Paul of this election cycle.
