Democrats "Call Everyone and Everything Racist" 2020 Election Strategy? Will this strategy work?

Their candidates suck. The economy is booming. Record employment. Incomes rising. They are out of ideas. The new strategy is to scream racism white supremacy as loud as they can and at as many people as they can. Will this attract voters to their side?

What's the difference between conservatives and liberals?

Conservatives get angry when you lie to them. Liberals get angry when you tell
them the truth.

Well it is already happening online so the real world will follow

Their candidates are doing it on stage, and they're getting each other in purity spirals

So all signs point to yes

My entire existence is a failed gotcha

Pelosi got called a racist last week. One of the jihad squad gave a speech (I guess this also was last week) telling POC to stay the fck out of it unless they were going to represent their race.

It's on. Get woke or get ilked.

They don’t stand a chance. Trump is pro America. That does not make him racist. I’ll take him over any of the current democratic contenders (losers).

that's if Dems don't get out the vote. significant amount of people sat out 2016. Economy doing better but not vastly better. some industries already getting hit hard. Tariffs going into effect next month that affect all consumers. Cheeto ain't adding voters using these tactics.

what city is going want to host that dead beat anyway for a campaign rally https://www.texastribune.org/2019/08/05/donald-trump-campaign-el-paso-shooting/

Not “everyone and everything”. Just the people who are racist.

What’s it called when racist behavior and sentiment is being called out and you feel so sensitive about it that you assume “everything and everyone” being labeled racist? There must be some name for this form of bias.

Not all of them.

Gabbi makes a case for an alternative version of America First that could draw some people out of Trump's orbit. Plus, she's not known to be an asshole. As an adult, anyway. There seem to be a couple others who are not so submissive to the DSA freaks who could cut closer to the middle. None of them are getting much traction right now, though.

I think Trump could lose in 2020.

Trump won because the people wanted something different. Throwing Biden in there is suicide. She’d drive our country into the ground but I’d be excited to see AOC running one day

All these politicians are scum. Trump included, but I really believe he has gotten more done than many past presidents and is looking out for our country. While entertaining, he needs to stfu on Twitter. Stop giving all the left wing whackos ammo and just let his performance speak for itself. Stop with the rallies and stupid comments.

"EVERYTHING" is racist
"OPEN" borders
"FREE" healthcare

You people have to mischaracterize and lie in order to make a point.

Nobody said nothing of the sort.

People are called racist more because there are more racists.

Trump legitimized racism and made racist unashamed again.

And you fucktards are going along with his trope.

NOTHING IS RACIST

Great work.

Trump didn’t legitimize shit. This is a racist country. Has been since day one you twat. Obama would have never helped A$AP as ridiculous as that argument is. Trump is just looking out for USA, particularly with the border. Could he have said some things nicer? Sure, but that doesn’t make him responsible for the last 2-300 years of racism on this continent. Get a grip. You think brown people are being treated bad here. Go visit Mexico or any other Latin American country. You’ll see some sad shit. Read a book. Jungle diaries is a good place to start. Seems like being a black slave may have been a better way to go when the Europeans arrived. You are the real contender for biggest retard on this site.

I’m kind of surprised you haven’t figured out yet what’s going on.

Trump is gaining support among black voters and this has the Dems scared.

So the Dems reaction is on two fronts...

1. Racism!!!!!!

2. Abandon the black vote and replace with the latino vote.

Outcome?

So Trump says racist shit. The democrats call him out for it. So now this is some made up democrat strategy?

Similarly, the media reports on the racist shit the president says and you all claim the media is "sensationalizing?" There is video.

You all seem strangely invested in trying to discredit the people reporting on and calling out the racist shit he says. There is no conspiracy against Trump. He says shit and people report on it and react.

On one side you have people that are disgusted by him and don't think he is worthy of the presidency and on the other side you have people that are disgusted by him and don't think he is worthy of the presidency but they believe the means justify the ends. They will suffer Trump as long as he stacks the supreme court in their favor. Meanwhile, to go about their day and not feel like a piece of shit for making a deal with the devil, they have to spin, attack, justify, do mental gymnastics etc. Basically the definition of cognitive dissonance. If you don't fall into this second camp and really do support Trump wholeheartedly then you are just not a good human.

It is as simple as this: would you teach your children to behave like Donald Trump? Do you tell your kids that lying is okay? Cheating? Racism? If the answer is no, he shouldn't be president. Your support normalizes his behavior. Are supreme court picks worth destroying the ethical fabric of this country?

Yes, I'm stuck in Baja in the middle of nowhere with a broken alternator.

This is the last time I trust other people's vehicles.

Luckily I have cell service so I will be able to tell GromsDad what a racist POS he is all day.

What's your excuse? You live in paradise in front of a perfect wave with a perfect swell coming, what are you even doing here?

Most racism is not a big deal at all

I know we’re not supposed to say these taboo words but just use your brain for a minute

Everyone is racist to some degree

Everyone

People are tribal by nature

Does this matter very much in everyday life?

Not really

Very few people go out of their way to f over people of other races

At worst, people in general tend to care less about problems of other people who they perceive to be not much like them

Acting like this is the equivalent of Nazism is extremely dumb and annoying

You've just spouted off the goals of the DNC strategy for 2020 like a good indoctrinated useful idiot.

See, you just did exactly what I said you were doing. Spin and attack. There wasn't a goal in that entire post. It is all observation. Do you really believe at this stage the DNC has some discernible strategy? I don't think that really happens until there is a nominee.

Trump being a racist POS is a Democratic strategy now.

Did they highjack his Twitter account or did they take control of his brain and made him say racist things?

Whoa if true.

The people who talk about it the most by far are virtue signaling white weenies who would never spend 5 minutes with ghetto blacks or anyone who doesn’t shop at Whole Foods

These people (i.e, you) are actually far more racist than average dumb white hicks because you actively try to use minorities as a tool for your self aggrandizement

The left is applying labels that are not warranted and then screaming them as loudly and as obnoxiously as they can in the hopes that the label sticks and persuades voters for the 2020 election since the crop of democrat candidates sucks. Make no mistake it is the strategy being tried right now.

Spoken like a white man. I agree that everyone is racist. I agree that people care less about the problems of people that are not like them. But does racism matter in everyday life? Not really if you are a white man. If you are a black man it does matter in everyday life. Your own words support that it would. If the white hiring manager is a little racist, who is getting the nod if the two final candidates for a job are a black man and a white man?

Did you ever take a college level sociology class? In mine, there were all sorts of studies cited, from the job example, to buying a home, to being considered for bank loans. The everyone is a little racist thing is called "modern racism." The majority of people aren't going out of their way to kill or enslave someone of a different race anymore, but the racism remains to some degree and there are all sorts of societal effects.

Are you going to claim this is liberal indoctrination? The studies are science based. They sent a black man and a white man into a bank to obtain a loan for the exact same business idea. So again, no, it doesn't matter much in everyday life because you are white. Does this mean we have to feel guilty and ashamed for being white? No, but, understanding racism and its effects could lead you to be more understanding of people that aren't like you and if you are ever in that hiring manager position you may be able to check your own racism and make sure that bias doesn't creep into your decision making.

In their fantasy land mass murderers are never influenced by violent video games or our declining culture but are 100% influenced by the president himself. They learned that one from a video MSNBC doctored up.

Trevor I agree with your post. It seems fecal doesn’t have knowledge of this and thinks we live in some utopia that trump is going to destroy. If anything trump has improved things since Obama. I already said he needs to stfu and just let his results speak for themselves.

No one except an idiot would think previous presidents were saints. Clinton a scum bag, many of his policies with hindsight were huge mistakes. Obama record drone killing. Bush two pointless wars. Humans are not perfect. That is the reality however we should still strive to be better than our base animal instincts. We should still strive to elect politicians that inspire us to be better. Electing someone so unabashedly unethical is giving up. I'm not sure how you can do that and still believe in american exceptionalism.

I’m aware of this stuff and not denying it

Is there racial injustice- obviously

But are daily social interactions totally overwhelmed by racial animus - I think that is a major stretch

It is also bizarre how whites like you think you’re qualified to explain race relations to everyone else

This is really the ultimate example of white privilege if you want to play that game

Trevor - you're white as fook living in the whitest state in the union. You're the protypical white dude.

You know fuckall about life outside Whitesville.

Do not pretend you know anything about other racial groups as your interaction with them has been limited.

Quote
I agree that everyone is racist.

LOL

Spoken like a true white as f*ck dude.

Outside the United States/Canada and to a lesser extent Western Europe - yes. Racism pretty much everywhere.

US/Canada are likely the least racist places on the planet.

Most people in the US are not racist.

Now under the new, improved, expanded definition of racism? fook yeah everyone is racist. I'm racist against my own race as a matter of fact.

A big part of this perverse strategy is an attempt to convince African Americans that Trump's border and immigration policies are somehow racist towards African Americans. If anything his policies on border and immigration issues would help lift many African Americans out of poverty and into the middle class. It is well documented that the Trump Economy has widely benefited African Americans and democrats are panicking that Trump's economic and jobs performance could peel off a few percentage points of the African American vote in 2020.

We don't live in a racial utopia. I can even recognize that it is easy for me to preach racial equality from my 99% white state. How would I feel if suddenly my town's demographics changed drastically? If what was really bothering me was the color of the people's skin moving in, I hope I would just come out and say that I am probably racist. Not make up all sorts of excuses. That said, as a person that has traveled all over the world and had meaningful relationships with people of a wide variety of races, I have come to the conclusion that race isn't what makes people good or bad. Any intrinsic feeling related to color I would try to overrule with the facts of my experience. Trump is playing to the insecurity, the fear, the emotion, the lack of experience. I would prefer a candidate that is honest about our racism but asks us to be better than our base emotion.

You said it doesn't matter in everyday life, now you are moving the goalposts. No one said, that I'm aware of, that daily social interactions are overwhelmed by racial animus. In general face to face people place nice. That doesn't mean their giving you the job though.

Why is this nonsense always the go to? "It is also bizarre how whites like you think you’re qualified to explain race relations to everyone else." If someone says that race doesn't matter in everyday life and I have seen studies to the contrary, am I supposed to keep my mouth shut because I'm white? I just don't get this argument. It seems like a hail mary to shut down debate.

I'm curious about your views on the current southern border immigration situation and weather or not we should enforce current immigration law? Thanks.

I'm sure all sorts of racist shit was said behind closed doors by politicians of both parties.

I'm not sure exactly what stuff he has gotten done. I kinda agree with him on trade with China. I'm not sure there was much of a cohesive or well thought out strategy though. I hope it works out. It has affected me negatively in a direct way, making the cost of building materials go up. $100 more per window. I guess I'm okay eating this cost if in the end trade becomes more balanced. Prison reform I agree with. Has it had any meaningful impact yet? He was handed the economy. I guess if I were a conservative I may be happy with the supreme court?

Have you ever seen someone act actively racist toward someone in real life in America?

This type of thing is extremely rare

Hey Casa you're a fooking idiot and have no clue what you're talking about. Quite an assumption that I've lived in the Maine bubble my whole life? You don't know shit. I've LIVED (not just traveled) in europe, central america, central asia, asia, and spent meaningful time in other parts of the world. So you can take that assumption and stick it up your ass. Canadians are very racist. Have you ever even been to Canada? Answer honestly. American's are racist. Liberals and conservatives alike. People are racist.

Can you please show me these well documented stuff?

Black unemployment numbers have steadily declined since the 2008 recession:

[Linked Image]

Black Income Graph:

[Linked Image]

This graph doesn't show the most recent data point of: Black Median Household income: $40,232* (SOURCE: 2018 2rd Quarter: Bureau of Labor Statistics – 16 Years or Older & *2017 Census Bureau American Community Survey.)

As you can see, the income growth from 2014-2016 of around $4000, is larger than the growth from 2016-2018 of around $1000.

Also,

"Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson admitted Sunday that America’s black homeownership rates have fallen to the lowest levels on record during President Donald Trump’s administration"

Now, I will add, however, that the data shows a continual decline of home ownership for both white and black people in America after the recession due to the housing crisis, and the increase of housing prices.

What I am saying is, the facts do not show what you are saying. Trump hasn't changed too much about the economics, except long term tax cuts for the wealthy (The highest earners are expected to benefit most from the law, while the lowest earners may actually pay more in taxes once most individual tax provisions expire after 2025.)

You cannot attribute the continual decline in unemployment to Trump's success, the same why I won't say that home ownership decline is because of Trump also. They both are following trends of the last 10 years following the recession.

The current immigration system is broken. I think politicians of both parties need to fix the issue. The southern border does need to be made as secure as possible. It is virtually impossible to enforce current immigration law. I don't think a wall is the panacea. In some places it may help. Our immigration issues are not all from the southern border. People overstay their visa's and never leave. They fly here. Making the southern border the focus of all our immigration debate comes off racist. To claim that Trump's immigration focus is to help black people move into the middle class is beyond disingenuous.

This seems more like a feeling and hyperbolic argument rather than a factual/reality based one. Yes, I have seen racial prejudice. This is Maine after all. Is your argument because I have never seen a white person call a black person the N word in real life racial bias doesn't exist? Can you cite where someone has said America is full of Nazis? This is the nonsense that only lives in Rush/Hannity world.

Would you agree that the democrats and their media's attempts to block Trump's attempts to secure our border and quite frankly to do the things Obama, Bush and Clinton all campaigned on but never followed through on and portray those policies as racist is disingenuous and deceitful?

When Clinton and Obama both spoke of implamenting the same policies regarding immigration and the border in campaign speeches and State Of The Union speeches were they racist then? Why are they now simply because Trump is actually serious about following through?

Wait.

Mexicans are rapists. Judge Curiel can’t preside over the Trump U lawsuit because he is Hispanic. Cummings is stupid. So is Don Lemon. John Lewis too. Also, Maxine Waters. And Lebron James. But it’s okay, Trump “likes Mike”! April Ryan, the black reporter, asks “stupid questions.”

African countries are “shitholes.” Baltimore is vermin. Immigrants are “invading” and “infesting” America. The four minority congresswomen — go back,

But hey, Nazis are “fine people,”

Trump’s racism speaks for itself.

The context-free allegations are literally meaningless. When everybody is special then nobody is special.

"racist" compared to who? 10% of the population? 40% of the population? 80% of the population?

1st Republicans had the white house and both the senate and house, why wasn't it passed then?

2nd I view blocking the wall at this point the right thing to do both fiscally and practically speaking. It is more of a political symbol than an actual solution to the problem. If democrats are blocking solutions other than the wall that is very bad. From what I've seen, the wall is always tied to any bill.

3nd People view Trump's efforts as racist compared to Obama, Clinton's and Bushes because of the things he says. We take him at his word and you're mad about that. Are we like you supposed to ignore all his words and have faith in his actions? If Trump didn't say the racist things he said, and seemed genuinely interested in solving the issue rather than stoking fear for political gain, I would applaud his efforts and call out those blocking him for partisan reasons.

I'm seriously never going to defend the actions of Obama or Clinton or any politician for that matter. I don't owe politicians any defense.

This month will see the largest group to be freed so far under a clause in the First Step Act that reduces sentences due to "earned good time." In addition to family reunification, the formerly incarcerated citizens, 90 percent of whom have been African-American, hope to get employment opportunities touted by Trump last month at the White House as part of the "Second Chance" hiring program.

A democratic president and a republican legislature are primarily responsible for the prison mess to begin with. Then for years liberals scream and yell about prison reform. Kim Kardashian gets involved with one case, talks to her budy Jared, Trump gets on board, liberals and some conservatives participate in a task force, including Cory Booker, bipartisan legislation is eventually passed, and now Trump is the savior of black people? Good on him for coming around, credit where credit is do but what exactly did he do besides sign a bill? Do you think he even read it?

Any racism is malignant.

I keep asking what constitutes racism for you guys and nobody wants to answer.

Bunch of white people claiming that racism doesn't exist is one of the greatest ironies.

Spoken like a white man.

[/quote]

Like i said. Racism in the US and Canada is miniscule.

In comparison racism in the rest of the world is commonplace.

As you've traveled and mingled with people from elsewhere I'm sure you know this.

Have I ever been to Canada lol...

The bottom line is racism - real racism - is the product of ignorance. It's one of the cringiest things on the planet when you're in the midst of it.

Saying everyone is racist is a fcking stupid, baseless claim.

Provide an example of how you are racist.

Yes we are all white here.

But the difference is that some white people listen to people who are on the receiving end of racist rethoric and actions and some like Caca, Billy, GrossDaddy, Ifailalot and others who ignore them and deny that racism exists (while supporting a racist).

Caca would never tell his imaginary black friends that racism doesn't exist just like he would not tell his gay "friends" things he says about gay people here.

Just like ifail wouldn't fat shame women at work or spit at transgenders on the street like he does here.

Social norms exist for a reason.

Trump is blurring those lines and making bigotry great again.

I don’t care if Trump wants to take credit, since he did sign it in and had the power to veto. That said, the credit should be proportional and within a the context of the actual benefit. The bill had no impact on state prison systems, which is where the majority of prisoners of housed. That’s a much bigger issue, and I’m not sure if there is even an effective federal solution that would not be challenged by state governments. That reform needs to come from the individual stages themselves.

I'll provide you with an example of how everyone is racist. My mother mostly votes democrat. She has a masters in psychology. She is 73. I would say solidly liberal. She said Obama sounded white. For all intents and purposes she doesn't have a racist bone in her body. I tried to explain to her how this was racist and she just got mad. I gave up. You guys are like my 74 year old mother. Being racist doesn't even need to have malignant intent. Of course not EVERYONE is racist but when even the liberals are unaware of their racism it would indicate a lot more people are racist than you would imagine.

Another example would be Boston. A liberal bastion right? It is the most segregated city I have ever been in. I remember traveling to Washington D.C. with a co-worker from Boston. He was a pretty left leaning guy. I remember him commenting about how many black people were on the streets. The vibe I got was that he was uncomfortable. I have a lot of hick acquaintances that are always saying racist shit. Coincidentally there are a lot of "Hillary for Prison" hats in that crowd. I've also run with the opposite crowd going to prep school and marrying into a country club family. People of all political persuasions would drop racist comments or jokes. From my travels in particular I experienced how racist russians are. If you think Canadians aren't racist I doubt you have spent much time there.

So it has been my experience that people tend to be racist. There is clearly a spectrum though. All the people that defend Trump just confirm this opinion. If it wasn't true people wouldn't be so defensive. It is a piece of them, no matter how small, but no one wants to admit it is there.

Agreed 100%. Seems like some would like to slap themselves on the back and call it done.

I love how you cherry pick only select individuals (based on race) who Trump has been critical of while ignoring the fact that Trump has said the same sorts of things towards countless people of his own race. You're showing your own racism and you don't even realize it.

Then you double down on the absolute LIE about the fine people quote.

More than anything I think the left and its media and people like you are making the racial divide grow by leaps and bounds. Hell, I just learned thanks to MSNBC that having the flag at half staff until 8/8 means heil hitler in code to rally neo nazis. I shit you not. That's how insane the loony left is to brand everything racist in hopes of changing their fortunes heading into 2020.

Its the left that is inciting racism while the right just is dumbfounded by the stupidity of what's going on.

If you happen to get a tour of the Simon Wiesenthal Museum of Tolerance you will be told that everyone (as in all of us) are prejudiced, before you get through the door. It's part of the human condition. You are further told that those that think they have no prejudice are part of the problem. In the parlance of our day, a "woke" individual is aware that he is fallible and has prejudices and then works to overcome those prejudices, always being on-guard and ever vigilant. You're never done. You are never "over the line."

Now its a cynical political strategy to call people you disagree with racist though. Get with the game.

Almost correct. A "woke" individual is not so inwardly focused - he or she spends most their time and effort establishing their moral superiority by pointing out the various -isms and fallibilities of others.

I agree that is what the term has become. It's become a cartoon of itself. Some of these people remind me of TV evangelists screaming about "sins of the flesh!" as they pay hookers to pee on them. Me thinks they dust protest too much. My usage had to more to do with what the term was originally intended to portray. The idealized "woke" as it were. (I hate the term) As opposed to what it has become.

I agree with this, although I think you are laughing at it. The whole "woke" thing is has become a joke. How about being self aware? The worst kind of humans think their shit doesn't stink. Know your shit stinks and try to be a better human as much as possible. If you tend to lie a lot, understand this about yourself and work on it. If you have enough racism in you that it ends up hurting others work on it. I don't know about being on-guard and ever vigilant but how about as fecal says, "try not to be an asshol?"

Good exchange. I'll add that baselessly calling people names just hardens people and incites more name calling so that all common ground is lost.

Not laughing at it at all. Tribalism is a bitch. And I now regret using the term "woke."

Not laughing at it at all. Tribalism is a bitch. And I now regret using the term "woke."

As well you should you homophobic pos.

Thinking back to when Trumby won in 2016 one CNN commentator famously called it a "WhiteLash". If that was a "WhiteLash", what sort of "WhiteLash" are democrats in for in 2020 after they spent two years accusing everyone who didn't agree with them of being racists, white nationalists and Nazis?

Wonder if this strategy will backfire?

This is what I mean about most racism being no big deal

Why does it matter that your mother said Obama sounds white? She still voted for him. She wouldn’t be cool with seeing him get dinged from her country club

Black people are racist too, especially against other blacks

It mostly doesn’t really matter

The really stupid thing is lame ass liberal whites citing extremely trivial shit like this and equating it to Nazism or Jim Crow and acting like they’ve had some major insight and are on a morally superior plane

No, you just fail to see that people are multi dimensional and they can say things that sound racist but not actually be racist in any meaningful sense

Fecal, bless your heart. I read and reply to your posts but don't give Utoma's the time of day. There is a reason for that. You've been here a long time and as much as I disagree with you I've found your posts over the years to be worth reading and considering even though I've got to tell you that lately the quality of your posts has gone down dramatically. Step it up buddy....I know you can do it. Utoma on the other hand is a newcomer and most likely a troll account of someone else here or a new account of someone who was banned by the mods. His posts just lack personality and don't interest me. I usually don't even read what he posts even though there are other lefties like you who I will take the time to read and respond to.

Actually Trevor had enough sense to recognize that his mom made a racist comment.

You don't have that awareness.

If racism is trivial to you, it must be trivial to everyone else.

That's how your dumb brain works.

Yes.

You don't have it.

You can't even figure out that something that seems trivial to you may not be trivial to others.

And you think white liberals are speaking for people of color?

While you are ignoring their opinion on what constitutes racism and calling it trivial.

You think your opinion represents black people's view of racism?

If you've listened to them, even a little bit, you'd know you're wrong.

But no.

I didn't ask about your mother or other people.

I asked for you to give an example of how you're racist.

Please do so.

So by your mother stating a fact - Obama sounds white - it makes her racist?

Because I have heard black folks say the same thing about Obama - he talks white.

Please explain what makes stating a fact racist.

Either your definition of racism is way too broad or your life is drenched with racism and you need new friends.

One of my favorite things is when black people mock the way white people talk. I fcking love that shit.
Does that make them racist?
Does that make me racist against whites?

Saying Obama sounds white is racist because the implication is white equals sounding educated. Inversely, if you sound black, you sound uneducated. There are both white and black people that are uneducated and educated. The pigment in your skin does not determine how you talk. This isn't that hard to understand unless you are old and just don't want to hear it.

Again with the equating it to Nazism or Jim Crow. After my mother said that did I call her a nazi? Silly. I thought we agreed that all people are racist? You are arguing against yourself.

Are you talking to me? Just for background in case you didn't get the context of my post. We had a really lengthy thread here a couple of years ago in which FecalFascist argued that its ok to assault people that he perceived to be part of a group that might hold the wrong thoughts. Heck, you could be in the wrong place at the wrong time and he'd have no problem with someone bashing your head in with a bike lock. He wanted street thugs who he considered to be kindred spirits of his to be judge jury and executioner.

You're reading much to far into the "sounds white" trope, by applying your own racist biases. Blacks have certain dialect differences, as do white, none of those make them educated/uneducated

For somebody who calls himself a history buff, you sure have no clue about historical context and conotations.

Pick yes or no.

No.

That answer is racist. Why do you hate equality so much?

Why do you hate historical conotations that words carry so much?

PS There's no such thing as equality, it's called "special treatment". I learned that from your Proud Boi friend.

I love how you cherry pick only select individuals (based on race) who Trump has been critical of while ignoring the fact that Trump has said the same sorts of things towards countless people of his own race. You're showing your own racism and you don't even realize it.

Then you double down on the absolute LIE about the fine people quote.

There’s a certain degree of racism that’s inherent in all people but it’s generally benign like how almost everyone drives a little over the speed limit

A small number of people drive recklessly over the speed limit but saying all speeders are dangerous or that speeding should be “ended” is dumb

LOL

No.

Not at all

Maybe says a little something about where you grew up but I wouldn't read that much into it.

LOL even education has little to do with it.

It's mostly where you grew up.

Nothing more.

I said that's bullshit.

I asked you to give us an example of how you're racist. If everyone is racist it shouldn't be hard.

Instead you went and crucified your mother for making a "racist" statement that was actually a statement of fact. Cowardice.

Now, let's get back to the questions you ghosted:

One of my favorite things is when black people mock the way white people talk. I fcking love that shit.
Does that make them racist?
Does that make me racist against whites?

Your issue is that you think you are prosecuting a case in a high school mock trial. Trevor said EVERYONE is racist and that is impossible so I got him! Come on man you are missing the forest for the trees. Unless you grow up in an incredibly diverse and accepting community, you probably have some racism baked in. Go read a college level sociology book.

Racism is all about context. A black person making fun of the way a white person talks is not racist. The mimicry doesn't come from a place of feeling genetically superior. There is no history behind the mimicry of slavery. I'm sorry this nuance is so hard for you to understand.

There's no mock trial.

You reiterated the statement "everyone is racist" multiple times.

So I called bullshit and asked for an example of how you are racist.

Instead you threw your mom under the bus. crazy2

roflmao

Diverse communities tend to be, at least by your definition, quite racist. In fact, by your definition, they are probably the most racist.

Racism is all about context.

Sometimes.

Bur mainly

Racism is about disliking someone, shunning someone, or having feelings of superiority on the basis of their skin color.

So what about a white person mimicking ebonics (i.e. the way most black people talk.)?

Racist?

Did you read the entire thread? I clarified in multiple posts (for the people that are very literal) that not every single human on earth 7.5 billion people is racist. Those tribes that have never had contact with any other people clearly can't be racist because they don't know other races exist. Is that the point of your argument to win a semantics war? What a waste of time. Billy also said that everyone is racist. You should try to nail him down too. So boring.

Why are you so invested in denying the existence of racism?

How did you arrive at the conclusion that my definition of racism would mean that diverse communities are racist? You aren't making any sense.

What is your main point? Spell it out for me.

You were talking about uncontacted tribes.

You were talking about you and me.

Now you're changing the subject.

There is no denying the existence of racism.

It's that the majority of what is labeled racism is not racism.

Quote
How did you arrive at the conclusion that my definition of racism would mean that diverse communities are racist? You aren't making any sense.

You said "unless you grew up in a very diverse / accepting community you have some racism baked in"

My response was highly diverse communities tend to be quite racist (by your definition of the word).

You grew up in Whitesville, Maine. Correct?

So what kind of racism do you have baked in?

Quote
What is your main point? Spell it out for me.

I responded to your posting, which contained a lot of stupid statements I rebutted.

You augmented this by throwing your mom under the bus.

My main point is most people in North America are not racist.

You want to expand the definition of racism.

Now, go ahead and answer this question:

Usually when I meet white people who are quick to call out racism they are either racist themselves or, more often they have racist parents and they’re just “rebelling.”

And they rarely have personal interaction with people of other races.

I'd call this a mischaracterization.

I'd call this a mischaracterization.

It's not a mischaracterization, it is anecdotal, but it does hold a lot of truth

Thats exactly what I would expect a racist to say.

So now I'm someone that "is quick to call out racism?" Yeah, I walk around all day looking for instances of racism and I call it out. I haven't even participated much on any of the racism threads. You guys love to take one example and use it for your hyperbolic declarations.

Casa is most interested in a semantics war. Casa's main point is that everyone claiming racism is using the wrong word. Okay

What is birtherism? Just xenophobic? Why is someone xenophobic? So if someone is xenophobic they can only be that one thing? Is it not logical to think that if someone is a xenophobe they are probably racist too?

Casa, is it racist or just ignorant to say that most black people speak Ebonics? How many black people live in Africa? Are they all speaking Ebonics? I personally wouldn't mimic Ebonics because I don't want to insult anyone and come off like a racist asshol. You seem to want to say that you should be able to mimic Ebonics because technically that wouldn't meet your definition of racism. Okay, drive to a black neighborhood, get out, and walk around mimicking Ebonics. It would be hilarious to hear your semantics lesson as you are getting the shit beat out of you.

"So what about a white person mimicking ebonics (i.e. the way most black people talk.)?

Racist?"

Is this a learning is bad and sociology is liberal propaganda post?

Any college level sociology class will include a section on racism. It will include studies that support that racism exists. Sending a black and a white man into a bank for a loan etc. Or if you don't believe in education and science you could just try listening to black people?

I don't think that you do personally, although there are droves of people who do. Many of them of the millennial and younger generations, and many of them are white as well. They are regularly finding obscure ways of justifying how something is tangentially racist in some cryptic way, then blowing it out of proportion as if the offender is the 2nd coming of Hitler. It's tiring. There are tons of examples of this, and people end up losing their jobs and other things important to them in the process.

Those types of people would have a lot more credibility if they focused on pointing out actual examples of racism.

Very well said but will probably go on deaf ears.

Just a reminder....

Caca and others went on for 15 pages defending Trump's Muslin ban as not being racist because Muslins are not a race.

This is what you're dealing with. 100% semantics.

I often ask them to give us a name for that behavior, since they don't like words such as racism and xenophobia.

I'm happy to use any word Caca wants.

I got nothing.

So the only conclusion we can draw is that they don't think there's anything wrong with that kind of behavior.

Otherwise they would give us a name for it.

I haven't really seen that these people exist. I'm sure there are examples of people like this but is it really all that common? When my mother said something racist I didn't claim she was hitler or even had a malicious or bone in her body. On that one topic she had a blind spot and was a little ignorant. I chalked it up to her age. Yeah some self righteous kid could have attacked her for it. That would be wrong and obnoxious. Try educating rather than demonizing.

And if they were consistent in applying what is racism to everyone.

The cheap definition that people use about racism being based on power is only an excuse for hypocrisy. I mean, we have someone here saying that whites talking like blacks is racist while the opposite is not. Clown world

This is where you're wrong and it is affecting every other conclusion that you're taking from here.

Thinking someone is racist just because they are a Birther or xenophobic is a baseless assumption, especially when the term xenophobic is thrown around at anyone who simply wants to have strong border security and less immigration, both of which are logical and somewhat justified positions to have. Most of those people don't want immigrants regardless of what color their skin is. The race of Obama's father is more incidental to the Birtherism movement, and isn't necessarily racist. Birtherism is retarded, so it is easier to apply racist tendencies to Birthers, but even the heart of the movement isn't based in race, it is based on the question of where Obama was born.

I think it is your logic that is wrong and affecting all of your conclusions. The major piece you are missing is intent. Wanting stronger boarder security because you think it is important to know who crosses our boarders =/= xenophobia. Wanting stronger boarder security because you don't want anymore brown people coming to your town = racism and xenophobia. The argument all goes back to Trump and his intent. There is a long list of actions and words to look at to draw conclusions about his intent. It comes off as racist and xenophobic. You can argue with the sky all day about the technical definitions but a large amount of the country has come to this conclusion.

We can extend this discussion to your conclusions about the birther movement. It is disingenuous to say the heart of the movement was based on where he was born. Again lets look at intent. Why was where he was born ever questioned in the first place? Why wasn't there the same movement on the right against Ted Cruz? (actually not born here) Why aren't Trump and the Birthers looking into where Biden was born? You are denying reality and trying to make technical and semantic excuses for racists and xenophobes.

To add to that very well written post, Trump explicitly called Mexican immigrants rapists and murderers.

Trump explicitly called African countries shitholes and asked why don't we have more immigrants from Norway.

He told four women of color to go back where they came from, one of whom was born in Africa. The oldest racist trope in history of racism.

He wanted to ban Muslims, which was decidedly unconstitutional but was passionately defended by ifailalot, GDaddy and Caca.

We keep hearing about "incompatible cultures" (all brown or black)

There are many more instances of this kind of behavior amongst Trump and his supporters.

Let's say the R word and the X word are verboten by the snowflakes.

What do we call that?

You're still doing it

People aren't opposed to immigration because they don't want "Brown" people in their town. They don't want immigration because they don't want competition for resources. Pro-immigration people don't have a good argument for why competition is good, so they just say that people are xenophobic, and of course, racist. Since you're so sure that people are against immigration because of racism, please explain the myriad of Latinos who are against immigration. The reason why anti-immigration views get framed as racist is more of the Left's overarching narrative that they are good and the Right is evil.

Why wasn't there a movement against Ted Cruz (who actually shouldn't be allowed to be President)? Became Birtherism is a right wing movement and Ted Cruz is on the right. The Right is not above hypocrisy either. As to Biden? He doesn't have a parent that was a foreign citizen. But like I said, there's probably more of a possibility of Britherism having a racist component more than anti-immigration, but you're simplifying things and trying to use racism as a magic bullet for everything you don't like.

Legal vs Illegal immigration is all this ever was.

The left is combining the 2 into one large pandering/political issue. They want illegal immigration treated the same as those that respect our laws. It basically spits in the face of all immigrants that did the right thing and waited their turn.

Asylum claims are denied 90% as most are deemed economic and not political threat. The loophole has been bastardized by activists like Pueblo Sin Frontera and propagandized in social media in Central America. International law deems asylum seekers needing to seek safe haven in bordering country for legitimacy. You can't just pick and choose the country you want asylum in. If that were the case, most everyone would pick USA and our international airports would be flooded with asylum seekers.

Absolute bullshit.

All the talk about "incompatible cultures" refers strictly to brown and black cultures.

All the talk about built-in-DNA IQ levels of people from certain brown and black countries.

All the talk about "shitholes" refers to brown and black countries.

All the talk about rapists and murderers refers to brown countries.

All the talk about crime in this country refers to black people and their communities.

GTFO.

I disagree. The majority of the anti-immigration crowd are past needing to compete for resources. They don’t like the changing face of their towns and by extension America. If there were lines of native white and black people lined up for agricultural jobs you would have a point, but there isn’t. Even in construction this isn’t the case. Is it sometimes? Sure, but it isn’t even close to being the primary factor. There are more than 6.5 million job openings in the US right now.

The whole racism is the response for everything you don’t like only lives in Hannity/rush land.

When I mentioned competition, it wasn't only job competition, it was resource competition in general

Discounting it as racism is simply an easy answer to a complex problem. It is an easy way to apply a good/evil paradigm to those you disagree with.

Also, this comes into exactly what Casa was saying. In your area, which is predominantly white, it is easy to apply a racism argument to demographic changes because if you import a bunch of people from Latin America you'll be able to physically see a change in the faces you see. Living somewhere like I do, most of the faces already are "brown" so importing more people doesn't cause a physical change, it simply means there's more people around

I would consider that a wildly misleading characterization. When the purpose of importing people from the 3rd World is to affect the balance of political power and taxpayer resource then it very much is that crowd's interests to see this as a struggle for resources.

Why do both parties struggle so hard for political power, if not to control what goes in and comes out of the government purse? Why is my kid compelled to participate in a bilingual program because the illegals aren't functional in the language? Those are resouces - including the time/effort my kid has to spend to make that adaptation - that we would not be compelled to spend at that rate if the parents were qualified to immigrate here legally.

Now that's not to suggest that there's no utility in compelling my kid to take instruction in Spanish, but that should be a choice for us to make, not a dictate that is imposed on us by the state in order to accomodate the inevitable result of inadequately controlled illegal immigration.

And that's just one facet of the effects in the education system. The test scores of some of these local schools suck in part because of how many of the students don't speak English well enough to perform. The slower performers hold everyone else back. This is not a difficult concept to illustrate. If a teacher has to spend an inordinate amount of time/effort on a certain percentage of the kids who are already behind and totally lack the reading and language skills to catch up then that's a "resource" that is being poorly spent.

That’s because you don’t pay attention to poor behavior from your team. Ends justify the means, right? I posted a very specific example of this, and you dismissed it because you didn’t like the author without even bothering to look up the actual facts (Bret Weinstein story; article by Bari Weiss in NYT). There are literally dozens of similar stories in the academic world. Educate yourself #getwoke

Casa is most interested in a semantics war. Casa's main point is that everyone claiming racism is using the wrong word. Okay

This isn't semantics.

It's about expanding the definition of racism beyond racism.

The intent is to weaponize the term against an opponent, political or otherwise.

To paint them as an actual racist by using it as a catchall term.

Interestingly enough I think it's eventually, if not already, having the opposite effect. So much crying wolf with the term racism these days people are beginning to take it less and less seriously.

What is birtherism? Just xenophobic? Why is someone xenophobic? So if someone is xenophobic they can only be that one thing? Is it not logical to think that if someone is a xenophobe they are probably racist too?

Which birtherism?
The John McCain birtherism?
Ted Cruz birtherism?
Obama birtherism?

Obama birtherism was simply an effect of Obama Derangement Disorder. ILLIJITIMATE PREZIDINT! NOT AMRICAN! COMMUNIST MUZLIN!

Just like Trump Derangment Disorder. ILLIJITIMATE PREZIDENT! PUTIN'S POODLE AND KGB AGNT! RACIST GAY HATER!

Casa, is it racist or just ignorant to say that most black people speak Ebonics?

No, because most blacks in the United States speak ebonics aka American black english.

Quote
How many black people live in Africa? Are they all speaking Ebonics?

I wasn't referring to blacks in Africa or elsewhere.

Quote
I personally wouldn't mimic Ebonics because I don't want to insult anyone and come off like a racist asshol. You seem to want to say that you should be able to mimic Ebonics because technically that wouldn't meet your definition of racism. Okay, drive to a black neighborhood, get out, and walk around mimicking Ebonics. It would be hilarious to hear your semantics lesson as you are getting the shit beat out of you.

"So what about a white person mimicking ebonics (i.e. the way most black people talk.)?

Racist?"

So it's OK for a black person to mock the way white people talk
But it's not OK for a white person to mock ebonics.

LOL

Is that the way it should be or just the way it is? Would there be actual justification behind the ass kicking received by the white person for doing the equivalent of the black person?

Some Trump supporters are just really stupid.

So it's not racist to call a POC stupid if/when that's the case?

The reason a shthole country is a shthole is .... the people. It's people who form a society and it's their values that affect how that society performs. That's why we want people who come here to be one of us. Civics 101

So I explicitly refer to their values (which are choices that can be changed at will) and you distort that to mean their race and DNA (which they can't).

Then you deliberately misquote me for your tagline in order to make a point that your can't make honestly. You don't even do it well because you didn't also change the beginning of the sentence that refers to their values or the next sentence when I express the sentiment of wanting them to be one of us.

How strong is your argument when you have to blatantly lie in order to make it?

Lemme ask you this, genius. If it isn't the people and their values, then why does America look and function differently from your place of origin? Why doesn't America look just like Japan or Iraq or Russia or even Canada?

You mentioned the government, which in the case of the shthole Rep. Ilhan Omar came from is non-existent. How does a government come to exist if not by the hand of the people and according to their values? Where else does the government get - and exercise - its power if not from the people there?

Oh, and just so you can't get away with attempting to rewrite history later on and deny your profound dishonesty, I took a screenshot of your blatant lying.

I'll make you a deal: If you'll edit your post and your tagline then I'll do the same with this post. I think that's a pretty generous offer on my part. You should take advantage of it so we can move on. In the meantime let's hope someone else doesn't come along and report your misconduct to the moderators.

GTFO.

FF had to repost this 3 times now looking for a reaction. (I'm sure he thinking it profound somehow)

Problem is, none of these statements have anything to do with ILLEGAL immigration, and no one was equating those with it.

Xenophobia has nothing to do with enforcing illegal immigration. We have immigration laws for all people, all races, all cultures.

You can talk smack about xenophobes all you want, but you can't equate it with illegal immigration.

Oh that's even better.

It's not a government that makes country a shithole, it's in people's DNA to be shitty people.

It just so happens that they're all black and brown.

I like that you are not holding back on your fascist ideas in this thread.

Plenty of quoting material for the future, when people start screeching how "everything is racist" becuz disagreeeemant.

No, you're an actual racist.

LOL

Lumping entire country of people as one "incopatible" shithole group is what makes you a racist xenophobic POS.

Just sweeping, bigoted generalisations based on nothing other than prejudice.

Oh and the IQ! Which is part of the DNA according to your calling entire nations stupid.

All people from Africa are stupid and incopatible. Every single one.

And black people from Baltimore. Wait isn't that in the USA?

Does that mean US is a shithole country or are you counting black people as an incopatible culture?

You're a despicable human being.

When your argument depends entirely on your dishonesty then there's no reason for anyone to take you seriously.

And just to be clear, Baltimore looks like Baltimore because of the choices the people make who live there. Same as applies everywhere else.

Dishonesty seems to be the common thread among the usual lefty suspects here.

What's the difference between conservatives and liberals?

Conservatives get angry when you lie to them. Liberals get angry when you tell
them the truth.

I don't believe that to be the case for any but just the one individual.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to edit my posts in this thread to make good on my promise to scrub my references to this dispute - which are contained in posts 876 and 721. Perhaps a moderator could do it for me. I'd be much obliged if they would.

I wasn't aware that the "edit" button is only active for a limited time. That's unfortunate, but it's also out of my control. Sorry.
