The ones I listen to are rightfully scared of what outrage culture is doing to their craft. Comedy is supposed to be dangerous and offensive.

It’s not surprising they have this sentiment; look at the humorless whiners on this website which is a perfect microcosm of male society. Add women to the mix and they are even more liable to have no humor and too much “empathy”

Ben Shapiro is not a comedian.

Sry.

Taboo humor relies on risk.

This situation creates opportunities.

You stand alone if you want to stand out.

Funny scene. Equal opportunity mockery. Could never be made today.

This is a faze. It will swing the other way.

Like I said, the fearless taboo comedian has a great opportunity in this vacuum created by playing it safe.

The clown always was at risk to get his head cut off by the king.

The whole " this would never be made today" is bullshit.

Blazing Saddles has been playing on AMC/TMC on a loop for ages.

Nobody ever found it offensive.

Because Mel Brooks is a smart comedian who understands context.

Just because there's an n-word in it, it doesn't mean it's racist.

The black sheriff is a hero and the white racists are portrayed as idiots.

Audience understands this.

Only the righturds would ask questions like "if black people call each other n-word why can't I call them n-word" and "if gay people call each other queer why can't I call them queer".

Not even a basic understanding how the context works.

Point, missed, again.

....likely on purpose.
