I’m looking for a new summer groveled shape and refuse to ride a longboard. Make some recommendations in the vein of mini Simmons, Lost Bean Bag, bing puck.

My normal board is usually a 5’10” or 6’0” swallow tail thruster

Super Brand Fling. 5'6 or 5'8 for you. Works in everything.

Have to say this board is magic and makes the most of small waves. That tint is killer.

I poached this file from Shape3d and I've recently started messing around with it again
tail will probably be similar to a Roberts diamond fish. Twinzer

While we're on the topic, what are people's thoughts on mini simmons vs keel fish? I know it's a bit of an apples-oranges comparison. But if you had to pick one.....

Gongfoil. They ship out of france. Roughly $400 for a foil setup shipped to your door. You'll need to find a board to mount it on of course.

MiniSim will be a better groveler. Really makes any session fun no matter how small/weak because it feels so different from other designs. I don't ride my 5'3" Hank Warner often, but when I do, I always catch a ton of waves and have a blast.

I'm switching back and forth between a 5'10x19.75 stretch stubby skate and his 5'6 quad fish. for mush, the quad fish is the call. i sort of like better how the skate rides and when waves have a little more shape to them. Also, i can do better turns on it , plus, it is a thruster. but the fish just goes faster and i can get to better sections on it. it has more foam, So it usually is more fun!!! Size range?? I think they both can handle same wave sizes.

Planning area of a mini Simmons > than fish in the tail. Foam under the back foot better for a groveller.
