I remember demoing an Average Joe when it 1st came out years ago and thinkin it was fun at small San Elijo. Apparently this is an update, slightly more pulled in performance version.

Pretty cool that there's so many options now for this kind of board.

We'll take the road that leads down to the waterside.

Not a fan of how the tail is pulled in. Seems like a bit too much for the middle width.

That being said, I really dig Britt and enjoy listening to him talk boards.

So much so that its not even really the same board at all.

We took the Average Joe, changed the nose, tail, rocker, concave and added some bumps.

Bridges the gap between your grovler and your step down.

Although I like narrower tails, I agree with silentbutdeadly that the middle width might be too much for how pulled in the tail is. In past experience really short, wide centered boards with pulled in tails lacked a lot of drive for me, as if the outline became too oval in shape, not parallel enough. That being said, according to Britt, they kept the board fairly parallel at the "engine" and so it should have some good drive. I'd say the board looks fun, but not sure on the stock dimensions......

Rear finbox looks misaligned. Or maybe the stringer isn't quite straight through the tail? (Or maybe it's just the way the video is shot.)

It actually looks fun to me, but considering all the boards in my garage I cannot fathom being out surfing and thinking, I wish I spent the $700 for that Ultra Joe. Its just whats needed for these waves!

Yeah, $650-700 on a board for when the waves are shitty.....but then again the waves are pretty junk 90% of the time.
