Anyone ever been to Madiera? If so how did it go?

Looks like pretty cheap flights / accommodation from where I'm at to there.

Waves look amazing. Looks like there are a couple guest houses right in front of one of the main spots.

Rocky paddle out ....needs decent swell for the points and a few quiet spots to the north .
Great seafood , friendly peeps with great wine .
Be sure to go check out the paragliding .....my wife's canopy got attached by an eagle on decent !
