Far too many IMO. They clog the action and just freekin get in the way. to them i say go get the wave
instead of waiting for it like a meal in a restaurant. and if you're not up to speed hostility helps w/nothing.

Sure were a lot of them today when I went out. Got out late, quickly caught three set waves on the Fineline Hull and went in on the last.

I haven't surfed on a weekend morning in so long because of work but I know what you mean. There are so many people that paddle out just to hang out

fook if you want to surf on your days off you're better off working weekends and taking days off during the week at this point.

I'd rather have 25 incompetent buoys who just sit there than 5 aggro, highly skilled surfers to compete with waves for.

Just paddle around them like they're not even there.

Oh, the good old days, the more crowded it was, the better I liked it. I mean what's challenging about surfing by yourself? The terrified looks, face spraying, shout-outs, snaking and paddle battles are the best part. Get aggro of go home, Mate-e.

Surfing is not supposed to resemble slalom skiing.

though tempting i have found the upside of such behavior to be minimal.

also sometimes it seems its easier to trick them i/o confront them. being buoys they might not see my
chicanery coming.

Fvck. So jealous. That's priceless in Southern California. The most bothersome buoys in the lineup to me are the ones that sit there and talk loudly about dumb shit the whole time. Or talk at all really, unless there's something really worth saying. censored
