I guess the British appreciation came from capturing so many French ships.

When you add in dairy products the shelf life drops off to zero unless used when made.

Those little packets of Mayo you get at the deli. Little time bombs.

Dunno, Ive taken bottles of mayonnaise on week+ backpacking trips in warm weather and been fine shrug Stuff is probably loaded with preservatives. The eggs in mayo are pasteurized and there are no other dairy ingredients, so Im not sure what would make it worse than anything else shrug

Commercial mayonnaise is shelf-stable, even when opened. Europeans tend to leave it unrefrigerated.

Just leave it out of direct sunlight. Same with ketchup and salsa.

Mayonnaise is considered a "Made Dish". Oil, eggwhites.

Before refrigeration, food storage, people used to die on a regular basis eating Mayonnaise that had been sitting out for a while too long.

Made dish? Have you ever sat down and had a meal consisting of mayonnaise?

OK, next topic:

-Reese's peanut butter cups
-Twix
-Kit Kat

Are any of these candy bars? They're in the candy bar section and two of them are in bar form.
