Heading up to SB this weekend with my girl - got a airbnb a minute from State street.

Looking for recommendations on stuff to do/see while there. Good food/hikes/spas whatever you got. Fancy - low budget - I'm interested in it all.

If I knew how to pot pics - youd be staring at some tits for your troubles.

Cheers! cheers

Good timing.
Weather is supposed to be great, clearing out this afternoon after a pounding of rain this AM and yesterday.
Most of the trails are going to be a mess for a while after the soaking.
Hit the Funk Zone (walking distance if you're a minute off State) for good eats and brews.
You might want to head up to Santa Ynez for some wine tasting, it's going to be beautiful up there this weekend.
I'd pass on a surf, the water is a toilet right now, creeks are flowing big-time.

Go to Arnoldi's on Olive st. for delicious Italian food. Stroll onto the back patio and play Bocce ball while sipping Chianti. Visit the court house and check out the view from the top of the tower. You can see nearly all of S.B. from there. Go to the Boathouse at Hendry's beach for Bloody Mary's and tasty food, if it hasn't been washed away. Stearn's Wharf is always fun too. And of course there's always The Beach House and C.I. surf shops to peruse.

It's pretty cool to walk around the courthouse downtown. Head to the top deck of the tower to get a good view of the city/ocean/mountains.

Edit: Sr Pato beat me on the Courthouse rec. rock

Awesome thank you guys, all sound's like great recommendations. I guess hiking probably isnt in the cards but yea the courthouse sounds super cool, and will def be doing Arnoldis as we are Italian food junkies.

Will have the board with me to stop by the queen on the way up but yea, def not too concerned with water time and cant really leave the lady hanging for long. A little surfed out too tbh.

Anyone know of any great massage places - no happy ending needed this trip wink

Ah, the courthouse, where I had to deal with my gf's under age drinking citation handed out on Del Playa.

As for SB, it's going to be a mud mess - like everywhere in Calif - so you're going to want to stay on pavement. The walk from E beach to the Mesa is very nice, and the weekend art show is pretty fun to check out.

One thing I never see mentioned is taking a stroll around UCSB. It's a fairly big campus right on the water, with segregated bike and walking paths so it's not too hectic. It also has nice cliff side paths, but again those will be super muddy.

Never was a fan of State street - typically the realm of weekend visitors from LA who like to shop chain stores. The homeless problem has always been an issue in SB, dating back to the 4 stop lights on 101. They used to be corralled around the railway tracks, but now they seem to be camped out everywhere along State.

You'd probably enjoy walking out to the end of the wharf, and maybe out to the breakwall . Again, pretty relaxed, you're around boats/water, and if there's any swell running, you can watch the surf(ers) from a few feet away.

Oh, and of course mission SB is always a favey fave - especially with the ladies. The chapel is very cool, and you might even sit in for a show (aka sermon).

Massage: SALT at State and De la Guerra.
Down stairs salt caves, I send the wife there a lot, she loves it.
Of all the spots here, Rincon is probably the dirtiest with the exception of Sand Spit after a good flushing (which we got big time).
Have fun.

Last time I was up I stopped at Breakfast Culture club to check it out and to support our very own photog Morgan. It was pretty damn good and I recommend it.

PM me if you want. I live downtown. 5 minute walk from State.

Btw, chances are your Airbnb host is breaking the law. Almost all short term rentals in SB are illegal.
