there was another attach at that same spot maybe 5-6 years ago. few times i surfed there and spot to the south alone i was wishing someone would join me.

It does get a little tense up there sometimes. Ive seen people get the localism treatment quite a few times.

My 18YO grew up with and is good friends with one of the kids that was surfing with Wapner when he was hit. I believe he was the one who took the pics posted on still frothy. Luckily my sons friend is a Del Mar lifeguard and was able to provide first aid on the scene before driving him to the hospital.
