I liked this one. I thought the board looked good.

That other guy surfs better than Noah.

Board looked really good for both of them. Xanadu has a ridiculous number of models/board families etc on his website - and I don't even think its totally current. Are that many people riding/ordering xanadus? Anybody ride them on here and have some favorites? I always considered him a top shaper but never saw a ton of his boards in lineups. Generally pros/top locals and then the popular surftech model he had years ago.

The Lowers thing is getting old.

He needs to mix it up with some other spots. TStreet, etc. Especially for the crap waves boards.

yeah the dude surfs really good. I was surprised to hear his height/weight bc he almost looks like a bigger dude on camera than Noel, but they're the same size, and he's actually riding a smaller board than Noel.

Agree with you Casa- kinda bored of Lowers footage and it's hard for me to relate to. Upside of testing boards there is the consistency of the wave though, so I get it.

I'm not a Xanadu purist, but I've bought 2 of his boards OTR from a local shop, the Mithras and the Nitz, and they both felt finished and glassed well. I emailed him directly twice to ask questions on sizing and rockers of those boards, and he's always been prompt to respond and forthcoming with information. Mithras is a small wave board and Nitz is a mini step up, but they're both in Family 1 which has more rocker curve in the front of the board and lower tail rocker. Both have gone well for me. I'm interested to try a Moskah - it's got the opposite rocker curve - low in the nose and medium/higher in the tail.

speaking of small wave boards, here's another surfer riding the Xanadu Wing Twin and killing it in El Sal. Waves look so fun in this vid

I like that he divides his boards up into families.

nice, but the very first thing you notice about twin fin footage is the immediate loss of a really hard turn back into the pocket and a good roundhouse cutback..........

which those waves were crying out for imo.

Do you think that's a function of a twin fin in general, or a twin with fins placed too far forward?
