Looking to fly from TJ to Zihuatanejo and just concerned about bringing board
bags as the dimensions on their site (no more than 98" L x W x H) aren't possible.
Has anyone taken boards on Volaris and what was your experience?
Thanks in advance...

Try interjet if you are stuck. 3 boards free.

Thanks. Ended up booking on Volaris because the price was stupid cheap. Hoping as
along as were under the 55lb. mark were good. If anyone has flown recently, please
chime in.

Took a Volaris from TJ to Puerto Vallarta (2 hour or thereabouts) December 27 with 11 family members . Saw someone with what appeared to be a SUP or, long board in a travel bag checking in. No apparent problem noted. Flight was without problem, Volaris cabin crew excellent.

2 hour return flight from Puerto Vallarta to TJ night before last was delayed "due to hub problem" according to customer service. 8 hour delay. 8 farking hour delay, no update to the ~200 customers waiting for the flight. Gave us chits to buy food in the airport, problem was all the restaurants in the airport that accepted chits were closed. Finally got ot and arrived TJ at 3:30 a.m.

Good news, TJ and US Customs at that hour were nan-second fast once we had our bags and got across the border.

Son's pal owns a 'limo' service. Turned out to be a short school bus painted flat black but he picked up 3 families (Cardiff, Encinitas, Carlsbad) and delivered all in the early morning hours (actually waited at the airport for hours). P.M. For a contact number if needed. John

I've flown Volaris out of TJ with boards several times. It's been a while, but there were no issues.

I might have paid a little for my board bag in advance to avoid any surprises.
