im in my mid 40s and feel damn run down. i dont wanna get in that cold water like i used to. i used to not care and just charge it. i got a full blood panel done and low and behold - low T. Anyone else on this TRT crap? seems like every guy i know past 40 who's been checked is on the low side... would rather boost it naturally - of course.

You need to find out why your T levels are low and your testicles are no longer functioning properly.

Also, if all your friends have low T maybe you need some new friends.

Other than that:

Are you fat?
Do you eat like shit?
Do you excercise?
Do you drink?
Do you smoke pot?

Because all of the above could be playing a factor.

Also, if all your friends have low T maybe you need some new friends.

From the AUA:

It is hard to know how many men among us have TD, although data suggest that overall about 2.1% (about 2 men in every 100) may have TD. As few as 1% of younger men may have TD, while as many as 50% of men over 80 years old may have TD. People who study the condition often use different cut-off points for the numbers, so you may hear different numbers being stated.

TD is more common in men who have diabetes or who are overweight. In one research study, 30% of overweight men had Low-T, compared to only 6.4% of those with normal weight. The same study found diabetes to be a risk factor for TD. In another study, 24.5% of men with diabetes had Low-T, compared to 12.6% of those without diabetes.

Surprise!

So much for the HAAS (Healthy at Any Size) movement! bigdeal

Add the pituitary in the list of potential sources of your problems.

Alcohol will lower it as well.

BTW, I know quite a few guy doing TRT and they all are very happy with it.

I had my levels checked and I was fine (high end of normal). Turns out I was just depressed.

I think you need the intense lows to feel the intense highs.

Pretty amazing answers so far. Fix your life. I'm sure the distastefulness of this prospect is why you haven't responded.

On a brighter note, some people find that DHEA supplements help. I would only use them in an effort to hasten the effects of lifestyle improvements.

Whats weird is when you start seeing the flip side simultaneously

Sounds to me like you just need some good honest peer pressure. Nothing like someone calling you a puss to get you to do something you dont want to do.

Perhaps you have low t because youre not going surfing and getting the exercise you used to. Life can slow us down like that. Go buy a new wetsuit. It helps more than youd think on the psychological level.

This thread was a great start. We are all calling you out! cheers

It's weird when life holds no more exciting surprises.

Just more previously experienced trauma.

I get why old people are all pissed off.

So true

What does a childless guy like yourself have planned for those years of one disappointment after another?

i've been doing squats and deadlifts like a MFer and have been getting bloodwork every other week. the T is up a quite a bit. to normal levels. no alcohol, limited simple carbs, plenty of lean meats.

my doc says its typical. he said - "do you want to maintain yourself or degrade like all your friends?"

i look at my friends on FB and elsewhere - they dont surf and are all "old". fvck that shhh

any puss in his 40s++ has low T.. check the political forum
