Hi guys. Quick question. I had ACL surgery back in 2008. Would an acl allograft be visible on an MRI? Is there any chance of confusing and allograft with a ruptured acl? Had an mri done and the report says the acl fibers “are not defined suggesting an acl rupture.”
I mean, i dont feel like i tore it😂

Thanks for any info/advice on this.

Should still see it but it may not show well. Thin or devitalized etc. More important is how does it behave for walking and light sports? Is it tight on testing by the orthopedist?

Peace,

MRI shows a complete rupture. again. fck

i'm debating whether going through surgery again or not. surf wise the knee feels fine.

"how does it behave for walking and light sports?" fine. is during heavier pivoting that it feels funny (soccer/running)

is it true an autograft will be stronger or as strong as your own ligament?

when i had it done, they used an allograft. btb
