Looking for Futures fins in the following for my new 6' Pyzel Ghost to be ridden in good-epic waves OH-2xOH:

-AM1 or AM2 5 fin set
-WCT or YU's

Not sure what build, fairly new to Futures. Dims = 6' x 165lbs.

Thinking Techflex?

am2 to am3 would be jumping way across the weight scale.. am1 if you like a medium or am2 if you want the L fin.. fwiw i don't like the techflex unless waves have a lot of punch

165 is borderline for am2's. they are a pretty large fin but for a wide tailed board they would work.

for the record the sizing goes small=am3, med=am1, large=am2.

yes, it makes no sense.

honeycomb is prob a good place to start, middle of the road flex.

depends on what kind of board you are trying to fin though.

^AM2's in tech flex are my go to when the waves get better, too. i usually ride a wider tail and bigger fins than recommended. i've been liking the Tyler Warren (quad) medium in honeycomb for small waves - never tried the AM3. I'm about 5'10 x 165lbs

I tried the Krypt Surf Powerdrive fins in my groveler for the first time, seemed to generate a lot of speed from minimal pumping, went really well in smalllll beach break. they can be ordered from Foam and Function (on IG)

AM2 techflex are way too big and stiff for a 165lb. person riding a Ghost IMO.

That's just my opinion but I do own a 6'3" and 6'5" Ghost and have tried quite a few different fin setups.

JJF Med would be the obvious starting point. Something medium with decent sweep. AM1, EA, Pyzel Med, Dane Med, F6, Etc.

Cool thanks for the input, it is appreciated. Im gonna try the AM1's I think in a 5 fin set to start so I can surf it as a quad and a tri. Also looking for some Medium YU's to try as a thruster.

I did ride it Wednesday morning with the only set of Futures I have, a quad set. Waves were slow and mixed up and the board was underwhelming as there was way too much fins for the surf...
