Must have been in front of that gnarly ass squall that passed through here yesterday afternoon.
Quite the show.

This shit weather sucks. It's been two days and I'm already stir crazy. I welcome it but there have been no good wind windows at all.

Torrey pines buoy measured 20’ as max wave height a couple times last night. Too bad it wasn’t during the day to see that come out of the canyon.

Maybe a wind window tomorrow morning? Surfed Wednesday but got skunked by the wind yesterday, it was howling SW and rainy all day.

I've been banned from better websites than this one.

I'm heading out the door to a spot I surf maybe 1 a year, sometimes once every other year.

I might even paddle out if the wind is up - not like yesterday, which was full victory, but something more manageable from the west.

Wow - San Nic had a 35 footer too. Tanner must have had some even bigger ones. I wonder how big a 35 foot 15 second wave would break at Cortes.

that's what i'm thinking. there should still be plenty of energy tomorrow. now where will be the cleanest both for shape & water quality shrug

one spot in LA this morning looked doable and clean enough (wind wise, def not water quality). Unfortunately the tide is not going low enough today to really make this spot tunron and doesnt look worthwhile to risk getting sick for.

Theres always tomorrow.

Ya, tanner probably broke 35’ for max wave height because the significant wave height peaked at 24.3. This was 2’ bigger than all the other cdip buoys. Ndbc doesn’t have max wave height measured on their website.

I found a really nice protected spot this morning.

Sure, it was only shoulder-head high and kinda soft, but it was clean and realllllly lined up.

I welcomed the lack of size, as my leash plug on my soft wave board got pulled out yesterday

One can only imagine what Point Bennett (Shark Park) looked like.
