I am no longer amazed or surprised by peoples ability to overvalue their importance in the world.

Having said that, an older valet used to crack an egg into the vent or even pour piss from his prepared water bottle down the windows/into the doors of cars parked where they shouldn't be parked. The Silent Surprise. roflmao

Wow, I never knew that!
I actually expected it was an acronym for something really offensive.

This thread is making me happy that none of this parent stuff affects me anymore. Parents park in front of my house to drop their kids off at the grammar school, but they neve block my driveway and I get a kick out of the way little kids act, so it doesnt bother me at all.

My mom was an Elementary school teacher. College trained, 1st and 2nd grades were her specialty.

Back in the day she used to take it on herself to drive some of her little students home. Back in the 70's and 80's. Sitting for hours at her school, nobody showing to pick them up.

mom was a softie. She could not just drive off, go home and leave a little kid sitting on the sidewalk in front of the school waiting for a ride. She would load them in her car and drive them home herself.

A lot of interesting places up in the southern Santa Cruz mountains. Teepees, big clearings at the end of dirt roads a '78 Cadillac has no bidness being on.

The upside? I had surgery up at UCSF several years ago and my nurse (my cute young nurse) remembered my mom as her 1st grade teacher. cheers
