The horizon never changes. It's always out there, just on the edge of sight.

What happens past that point takes place on another plane of reality. We are not a part of it.

roflmao roflmao roflmao you have got to be a troll.

If it's not supported by facts/evidence, it was/will never be a theory; it's a hypothesis (which could be rejected).

I'm good with hypothesis.....but also believe your definition of theory is wrong....here's what I googled.....don't see facts or evidence mentioned...

the·o·ry
noun
a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something, especially one based on general principles independent of the thing to be explained.
"Darwin's theory of evolution"
synonyms: hypothesis, thesis, conjecture, supposition, speculation, postulation, postulate, proposition, premise, surmise, assumption, presupposition; More
a set of principles on which the practice of an activity is based.
"a theory of education"
an idea used to account for a situation or justify a course of action.
"my theory would be that the place has been seriously mismanaged"

....just sayin....

Scientific theory =/= everyday theory.

First Google definition of scientific theory:
A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment. Such fact-supported theories are not "guesses" but reliable accounts of the real world.

E.g. theory of gravity

Your responses are making clear your deficiency in understanding simple science and explaining why you could think the Earth is flat.

Hey...you're right....that's that same definition I got when I added "science" before "theory" in my search. Kinda goofy use of the term theory...why not just say scientific fact?
...but I'll maintain we're saying the same thing wrt demonstrable, measurable & repeatable.

This is good stuff...
"A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment. Such fact-supported theories are not "guesses" but reliable accounts of the real world."
FE is all about this....observations of and experiments on the natural world prove a flat surface every time anyone cares to look....so the scientific theory of earth being a sphere is wrong.

BTW....care to point me to any recent experiment that proves a large mass exerts an attractive force on a smaller mass? Think Cavendish experiment but more recent. And is there only one possible explanation for the direction of down (ie, attractive force of gravity due to mass) or could there be others?

How about demonstrating a curved water surface on a large body of static water?

...or a pressure system next to a vacuum w/o a barrier....

....or a liquid following lock step with a moving solid....like the air does above the earth.

So are you questioning the theory of gravity? Or the law: Fg = Gm1m2/d^2?

The sliver of the crescent moon has been really evident the last couple nights. What could be making the round shadow? And is the moon flat too? The sun?

That isn't the earth's shadow doing that, it is all about the moon being a sphere and its position in relation to the earth and sun.

Questioning that there's an attractive force due to masses of two objects....and not something else. Check out this vid....guys walks thru how big G was derived. Care to repeat the Cavendish experiment?

The crescent moon is caused by the sun reflecting on the side of the moon that faces the sun....the shadow is the unlit side and round because the moon appears to be spherical. What does this have to do with the shape of earth? Just sayin....

then to prove to yourself that there aren't any devils in the binoculars because you're apparently a fooking time traveller from b.c.e.~500 just google how to make glass, go get a bunch of sand and i think soda water and lime or something like that, make a rudimentary blast furnace and get to polishing

If you ask your parents.
