Quote:
LONDON — Prime Minister Theresa May of Britain was battling to save her government on Monday after her foreign secretary quit over Brexit, deepening a mood of crisis just eight months before the country is due to leave the European Union.

The foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, was the second minister to leave her cabinet within 24 hours. He stepped down after Mrs. May pushed ahead with a proposal that would keep Britain more closely tied to the European Union than hard-line conservatives want.

“We are truly headed for the status of colony,” Mr. Johnson said in his resignation letter.

Even more disturbing, he said, was that “this is our opening bid” in negotiations with the European Union. It is as though “we are sending our vanguard into battle with a white flag fluttering above them.”

Just last week, Mrs. May appeared to have won the full cabinet’s agreement on keeping Britain’s economy closely anchored to the European Union. The resignations reopened speculation about a challenge to her leadership, something that Mrs. May’s spokesman said she would fight.

It's what happens when people get whipped into a xenophobic frenzy, without thinking about real consequences.

Brexit was pure FEELZ just like Trump's anti-immigration vomit.

Thanks to fear mongering and empty promises by Johnson and Farage. Now they both jumped the ship.

Lots of regrets to go around.

Gotta love Theresa May's cabinet in turmoil over this. Doesn't seem like much of a consensus government at this point.

I love Brexit because it demonstrates exactly who is actually in favor of rule by the voice of the people versus those who prefer to be ruled

WTF is "political class"

Like Trump election, Brexit was pure emotional reaction to xenophobic fear mongering.

Farage and Johnson built the campaign on lies, they couldn't deliver on any of the promises and now they are gone and left the British people to deal with the consequences.

If you morons are so concerned about the will of the people, you'd look at what people British people want in 2018
There's been a rude awaking about how fvcking stupid Brexit was now that people understand the reality of it.

If you fools think that British working class will benefit from this, you are just as dumb as those who think that Trump is fighting for the little guy.

Just the fact they have gotten this far amounts to a big F-U to the salad bowl and all the "world citizens" who aspire to kneel before Germany's 4th Reich. They have forced both the EU and the political class to acknowledge problems they didn't want to acknowledge and engage in discussions they didn't want to discuss.

So if the political class can force repeated votes to get what they want and the people go for it that then it's all good. Self-determination is a good thing.

Not if it's built on emotions of fear and disinformation.

See, that's the fundamental difference right there. If you don't get what you want you blame it on the people being too stupid to make their own choices rather than acknowledging their legitimacy.

If the Brits want to be part of the United States of Germany then that's their prerogative. If not, then that's their call, too. Self-Determination is a good thing.

In other news, Serbia's Monarchy called. They want their rights restored to make their people's choices for them.

The Royal Family of Serbia

Lemme guess, the Russians were behind it too?

If so many of the "British people" have flipped the script to Bremain now why haven't they ran another referendum to stay?

The EU is tyranny ran by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels, its no wonder the globalists LOVE it and are so anti-Brexit

You two are out of touch.

Are you aware of what's going on right now in Britain?

Brexit was a disaster.

People were whipped into a hate frenzy against "foreigners" (from other EU countries) who were blamed as a source of all people's problems, the exact thing that Trump is doing with immigration here.

Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage, the Brexit ringleaders and far right cünts, who are now nowhere to be seen, lead people to believe that there will be millions of pounds saved and going into the national institutions such as NHS if Britain leaves the EU.
That was a lie.

They lead people to believe that they would keep the trade with EU going while banning EU citizens from working in the UK.
That was a lie. EU was not having any of that.

Turns out that reality of Brexit is that British people are fvcked and that May's government is on the brink of implosion.

Just because of your xeno FEELZ

Uninformed dumbshits.

A brief summary for dumbshits.

"Here’s an abbreviated check-list:

1) Out of the customs union?
Well, apparently we would leave THE customs union but then enter A customs union under a complicated bureaucratic formula that would have the U.K. collecting tariffs on a wide range of goods still subject to EU tariffs, including agricultural goods, and remitting them to Brussels. Would other EU countries collect U.K. tariffs on goods not subject to EU tariffs and remit them to London? That doesn’t seem to be agreed — since it would impose a cost on those countries with no compensating gain. And it seems that tariffs (and therefore high prices) would continue to be levied on food and clothing that are a large part of poorer people’s budgets — thus negating one vital social gain from Brexit.

2) Out of the single market?
May proposals concede that the U.K. should leave the single market for services but seek to remain within it for goods. But that means accepting the U.K. remains subject to the regulatory harmonization of Brussels, which, again, removes one of the main advantages of Brexit — namely, regaining the power to make our own laws and shaping our economic regulations to suit U.K. interests rather than those of the 27 other EU member-states.

3) Out of the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice?
Not if we remain within a single market for goods which is the final arbiter in disputes over regulation. That is apparently advanced in May’s paper (written by civil servants skilled in bafflegab) as having any disputes between the U.K. and the EU settled by U.K. courts acting on precedents and rulings from the ECJ. That’s what more or less happens now — not only in law but also in administration.
If this bare bones explication of May’s paper looks thin, it shimmers into nothingness when set against specific questions of importance. Two are especially important: First, will any deal allow the U.K. to set its own migration rules? European officials say No since the EU’s four freedoms — including free trade and free movement of labor — stand or fall together. May’s response is therefore to suggest that Britain offers preferential migration rules for Europeans in return for free trade. That’s a concession to the EU that reverses what may be the most politically important of her Brexit promises."

People have been lied to.

There's a difference.

Trump's doing the same.

Sad.
