The bridge on my acoustic is starting to lift and it's getting difficult to play.

Does anyone have a tech they use, that can reattach/secure this bridge, and give it a clean bill of health?

I'm in OC, but would be willing to drive if it needed.

I just got my first 2 adult acoustic guitars.

A Martin HD-28V, and a Taylor 814CE DLX.

I'll have these forever!

I don't even own an acoustic and I'm not ready to spend money on an adult one, but I do want one of these

No, but I like 24" scale guitars (Jaguars) and I like the idea.

I want a good martin.

I have a plastic one.

https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/...9hoCH5MQAvD_BwE

I love it.

It's good to play crappy instruments too.

IF you can make them sound good, you sound amazing with good one.

Norm what would you say would be the cheapest good martin would be?

I was gonna spend a 1000.

Yamaha is a good cheap good acoustic.

Looks like that's the manage link rather than the post itself. Would be interested to check out what you've got available!

Edit: To add to the original point of this post I only know about up here in LA, but TrueTone in Santa Monica is great.

If you keep your eye on reverb.com or craigslist, long enough, you'll be able to find on with solid side and back for ~$1000. If you go to $2000 it gets lot easier.

The iconic Martin is the D28.

This.

13th Street Guitars

Owner is Hugh. Great guy. Might be a little pricey but well worth it.

Both Martins are D12-35, one in the very rare (the US forbid Brazilian rosewood imports with a few exceptions after 1968 or maybe 1969). The East Indian rosewood is the current high end wood with the exception of certain custom/artist shop builds. Take $500 off the CL price of either guitar. John

My friend Peter Bond could do it. Works at Island Guitar does a lot of fixes/mods. Was the lead singer for Hat Makes the Man at the Wave. Very very dedicated surfer too.

Unfortunately, he works in Honolulu.
