the tail on that board is interesting. doesn't look as aesthetically pleasing as a more pulled in, rounded tail but that extra width must generate a crap ton of glide and speed.

took the 10' Christenson out today and had a blast. swapped boards for a few waves with a guy on an Albers long fish in the 10' range - felt super light by comparison and was fun with the twin keel set-up.

Yeah the board looks like a turd (outline wise) but that tail width does plane and generate speed so well. The bonzerish design really allows it to get on rail for such a wide board.

If he wasn't fired up on and didn't offer to let me ride his personal I would have never ordered it. can't wait to see him again to tell him how stocked I am on it.

We need to link up for a glider sesh some day.

Glad I brought the VS Slot Noserider. Waves were micro, clean lines...infrequent as well. Got several
ankle/knee high rights and a few rare thigh-high lefts that were surprisingly long with decent noserides.
Not sure why most would even try these conditions on a sb, but there was an uber ripper young girl
that's apparently well-known that ripped off 5 straight turns on multiple waves. bowdown
Must be nice to be 75 lbs and surf every day.

fat bastard fished beachbreak at too hi a tide. the sets would be closeouts outside, then mush thru the middle, inside closeout reform. fatass was just right for those waves, making a wave worth riding the the flat spot, the right waves would have enough face to play with

picked up a used 6 3 kenson thruster from a friend for the bigger days and have had a great december riding that thing on the bigger days and then the kenson pleasure pig on the regular days, has been a very good december, lots of mid day sessions with limited crowds, looking forward to dialing in my new kenson rocket fish channel bottom twinzer as my next project, got it last summer but injury and low volume on that thing has kept me off it but its my new years resolution to dial that thing in....

Swell showed up early. Lat morning sesh at the local. Pretty damn crowded but a couple of fun ones on the GX. Could have ridden the stepup with how the swell filled in even with the tide.

Bigger and messier than it looked. Nothing to write home about.

Had fun over a couple hours on the 6'2" Shadow. Few fun, overhead and steep drops, few good speed runs,
few snappy turn combos. Crowded as f, but I'll take it.

I don't know where else was going off today, but I surfed a beach break with a parking lot with only one other guy for 45 minutes. Really fun even if they were just big drops into fat shoulders. Having no one out makes my mood so much better. People did start showing up after that. Good session though.

pretty damn fun today. Mixed bag of stand up to mellow sections to long racers. Perfect for the new bonzer.

freezing today in 3/2 hood booties
upwelling made the water colder and it was a stiff cold offshore. was 42 degree air.
new board trial. i was all alone, at least, but had to sift thru many closeouts to fins good ones with shoulders.
i found enough to make it worth a surf. beats battling with people for shoulders.
