Yesterday, paddled out in the dark and it seemed after 20 minutes it was going
to be the biggest waste of time as ever wave was wonky and closed out.
Ended up getting 3 fun lefts right after than on the DK Dialer before the crowd
got absurd.
Today looked horrible with onshore crumble and inconsistent swell but paddled
out cuz I needed it. Got a couple fun lefts on the OG Manta (still the best board
Ive ever owned) and then meh. Way better than not surfing.

2nd session on the parmenter '8er; okay waves and saw some potential in the board. thinking there is a fair possibility i have some epic retro garbage on my hands here.

Last night was clean and crispy just South of my local. Wish I'd had another hour of light to play with.

This morning had semi funky winds at another left bar in the bay but it was super consistent and fun. Just myself and a good friend harvesting for about two hours until the tide flooded. Been riding my most favoritest Stamps CX thruster in everything and just playing with different fins. TP1's feeling good for tight shreds in the pocket.

Put in about 4 hours in the water today in crisp, clean 5-8' beachbreak. A few fast and walled sections, one short barrel that ended in me taking the lip to the head when it pinched. Good times. Tomorrow the real surf starts again.

Super good fun 7 ft at 13 seconds on the new-to-me garage sale board. Three glassed in fins, blue resin tint, and 68". First ride of the season on it.

Offshore, not too packed, waves were A-frames, large bowling close-outs that sometimes stayed open when you went left, long non-closing out rights that tended to be a bit on the soft side, sometimes long waits, but more likely just me drifting out of position.

Three hours later, I left.

very small and clean; 11'er would have been best but had a few on the 8'er.

I think Tomo is with firewire for more than just money. He helped them developed the LFT tech. I think he sincerely believes in the tech -deforest

I think the USA "made in america" board builders "marketing" gimmick falls more inline with a cult than the firewire following -deforest

Sunday - went to a beachbreak south of town and scored some overhead offshore peaks on my brand spankin new 6'6''. Got a nice barrel and some decent turns while dialing in the stick. Crowd was spread out so it never got too clustered. Gorgeous morning.

Went out a couple days ago as the storm passed. Started out a little chunky but it slowly cleaned up, and not really much of a crowd. Could have been the dirty water. vomit It actually wasn't that bad. Swell was well overhead and I took my brand spankin new 6'0'' for a spin. Had a great time.

It's been a while since I've ridden "traditional" shortboard thruster shapes (as opposed to my 5'5'' ebert twin fin). It definitely took some getting used to with both of these new boards, but it started feeling nice and buttery again.

Now it is correct....board length is 6 feet, 8 inches, not 68 inches.

Foggy and shifty. Sandbars slowly returning to normal. Comfy in fully accessorized fancy 3mm, minus the hood flooding the ears.

If you're going to play music out of your truck while everyone is changing it damn well be some better music than this bullshit

I was not surprised at all to see the guy doing a stretching routine before he paddled out.

Not too long ago I sat in my car and laughed my ass of at two dudes psyching up to surf by listening to Alanis Morrisett's "it's like rain" and singing along.

The next day Rob Machado posted a pic on instagram of the guy with one of his FW twin fins . I had to call him out on his tunes. hat

weak but fun rights; had one drawn out somewhat flat wave that the parmenter 8'er really light up on in terms of down the line trim speed. fun board. also pretty sure i saw jordy smith in the water.
