Thanks for posting a review and pics. Board looks fun, like something I could ride. I like how he pulls in the tail for a stubby. Probably why it works so good when the waves get better.

Even though I've posted these ad nauseum here are both of mine

New one

First one

Same dims, the only difference is that I put a squash on the new one while the first one was swallow tail. I feel like I have the slightest bit of lower end and a smidgen more drive with the squash but overall more smoothness definitely

Nice. Figured we'd get a bunch here.

SD, is that the simpo board?

Can someone explain again the fishnet stockings he uses, like on ifallalot's board? Material? Does it make it stiff?

All this talk about rocker bars and waking up with a 10" one gets me excite!

Nice review SBD.

The GX definitely deserves it's own thread.

I have captain rinsekit's (scotter) old 6'0" GX squash.

It's a great board. Goes really well decent knee to overhead sized waves. It grovels better than my daily drivers (Scarecrow, GXRT) but it's still a high performance board and needs some input to work in weaker waves.

I'll get another one at some point in sleeker dimensions as the one I have is pretty beefy for me.

Okay, you talked me into it! I agree that dealing with Tim and Christina is first rate. Great service and exceptional boards.

SBD - yep, 5'10 x 19.5 x 2.38 @low-mid29L goodness. From the Dane file. Team light glass.

When I need to replace it I'm going to thin it out to 2.28 to have less of a gap with my BS and BS-Staap rails. Tempted to keep the team light or go EPS.

Try the 4/4 and 4 tail patch. Ask him about different options.

Damn, I'd put a hole in a team light. If I had disposable income I'd love to order one sometime though.

No idea. When I told Tim I picked it up used and gave him the serial to add to the "files I like", he wrote back that it was originally from Dane's file and just adjusted for Simpo.

SBD - I'll chat with him about it when I eventually order. The deck looks like a worn shoe after a couple months and you've got 35-40lbs on me. It was in pretty good shape when I got it off sublime. I'm expecting to crease it before the end of the year. One of the rail sections already blew out.
