I love OT's approach to board hoarding and his amazing, amazing quiver.
But I also beleive in young blood.

One of the best boards I've had was a Robbie Kegel hull.
That was like 10 years ago when he was 19 or something. applause2

It's here! (sorry O.T.) hat

7'10" x 3" x 23"

Surfed it this morning, glassy, chest high beach break peaks ....
First impressions: this board is really something else. It took a couple of waves to find my feet but once I got it going, oh my. grin

It was quite something seeing this thing in person for the first time, photos really don't do the design justice. The nose is radical looking, the board very hully at first sight.
Ryan is a real nice chap. He had a free reign on the resin work, my only request was no brown color but I forgot to mention no pink, I'm not sure I'm a man/hispter enough to carry it. I dig it though! wink2

Previous reviews in this thread are pretty accurate, it has the best of the hull design: the trim speed and squirty bottom turns and the best of wide point back, loose single fins that like to be driven from the tail. When your foot is over the fin, it's a magic carpet, turns like no other hull.

Once you are on the tail the board feels much shorter, overall it doesn't feel like a 7'10".

It's an incredible section maker for a single fin. Bottom turns are super solid on bigger sets. Sliding on the little ankle slappers on the inside was even fun - this board will work in everything. I've had long boards that didn't paddle as well..... it will be hard to ride any other board below chest high this summer.

Stocked! Cheers Ryan! wave2

Wow fecal that is a nice shape! I'm not a fan of pink but I must say I'd be stoked on that resin work. These boards are hard to describe but I share your sediments. I don't think I'll ever own another longboard. These are way more fun. They work in the tiniest of waves but really excel in bowly waves once you figure out how to set your rail to fit the curve of the wave. Of the the 3 I have the 7'10 is by far my favorite and if it ever buckles or dies I'm taking it back to Ryan to make another just like it.

Congrats on the new board cheers

Cheers bros. cheers

Agree, it will be hard picking up a longboard with this thing being around.

Forgot to mention, Ryan's volan 8.5 fin (TA) is pretty neat! I like the template a lot.

I have that fin - didn't like it as much as their flex fin - that thing just gives my vbowls more liveliness. I reckon the truames looks different from the alkali?

Very cool board - lots of fun in a range of waves.

Nice board. He's getting some really good reviews on that design. It doesn't seem like anyone who's ridden one has anything but good things to say about them.

I also love the outline, 23" seems pretty wide for a 7-10 but your board looks proportional.
