I want to make sure that you know that Rainbow Fins has not been the manufacture of LOKBOX or licensee for the system for a few years now. With a 1 year warranty on manufacturing defect is no longer valid in this case. We still wanted to make this work you Matt, PRIOR to your post.

We welcome any emails or phone calls.

Hope everyone has a great end to your day.

Sarah

Your solution came three weeks after I contacted you. Your solution is that I pay for the fix. I stated this all in my original post. Did I lie about anything in my post? Am I misrepresenting anything in my post? Why would you be disappointed?

If I worked for RFC -- Right from the beginning, I would have told the customer to send in the fins and base. I would then eat the $15 for the new fin since the customer has already bought two sets and has had this happen twice (and according to this thread, others have had the same issue). But RFC is not my company and I can't tell you how to do your job. Instead, you tell me you'll look into it, I wait a week and email you again. You said your still trying to figure out what to do. I then wait two more weeks and email you again. You finally offer to fix the situation if I pay for it. In my opinion, this is poor customer service.

As I said before, I own a small business. I understand the challenges of running a small company. If one of my customers had a defective issue with my product (wether or not I still manufacture the product), I would have taken care of the issue immediately.

Tom contacted me weeks ago and yesterday, offering to send me a set of his fins. I really appreciate the offer, but I can't accept. I can't take product from him when my issue is with RFC.

Thanks again, Tom!

Haha f@g no. Maybe unconsciously slip into yuppiedom occasionally. A surf and skate rat since I could walk. I wasn't schooled at home though so I'm probably not as cool as you. What I was getting at is Sarah's written speech had mistakes which were more typical of a native Chinese speaker than a native Spanish speaker. I was wondering if Rainbow had outsourced their customer service to China along with their production.

No ! Rainbow Fins has NOT "outsourced their customer service to China along with their production". All RFC fins that are produced in the USA are marked with "California Born".

I had some fitment issues with a set of FCS Heaters.. Sarah was quick to reply and had a new set shipped out to me pronto..They even refunded my postage. that was my experience and wouldn't hesitate ordering from them again.

that's a great response and offer. I had an issue with a new board and fcs boxes a while ago. FCS did nothing said they'd get back to me. The board maker offered up nothing. Lifes to short and surfing is so much fun. I no longer purchase from either.
Love my lokboxes.

Ive only had positives with RFC in the past. Picked up a DK Dialer from the RFC years ago in SC and they were the nicest people. Set me up with more fins than I needed.

My sincere apologies Sarah. You and your husband? look like really nice people just trying to make a living making surfboard fins. I was trying to be a wise ass. Good luck with your business.
