for a minisimmons? IMO the keels will go faster / more drive. sea sheps will do the trick...

let's see the outline, is a stubbie short and ugly board that just goes FAST or are you looking for more HP side of the Mini Sim? if just want to cruise and go fast then Twin, want to surf more vertical then quad , my opinion only

i've had em all. (cousin shapes them)...
the twinzers (had a ghostbuster, whitepony and simmons) are super fast down the line as it should be but -
when turning the board kind of swivels around the center axis - and then there is a loss of speed and drive.
quads are very maneuverable but marginally slower... are you really gonna go vert on a simmons?
keels are the fastest/drivey but if you get a good keel (sea sheps or zippis in lokbox) its still very maneuverable. whatever you do, dont get 5050 keels - they just wanna go straight

all 3 setups are loads of fun!
what about a twinzer setup w/ boxes so you can run keels or twins?

I have a simmons style board with keel fins. It's fast and cruisey, but is tough to surf top to bottom. I daydream of having a quad set up on better days... Maybe an arc tail (Mandala style) or small swallow could loosen things up a bit.

cool thanks for the reply's it's a local build, basickly told him a mini simmons with some modern twists, 5'8x22x2 5/8 im 6 ft 190 with alot of rubber looking for a longboard/fish alternative for small days in the northeast think i'll stick with the twin keels as i have a stubbie quad type board that i dig already

These are pretty rad. Gonna get one some day:
