i rode one for a few sessions. the shape was fun but i didnt like the feel of it flex wise. felt dead, but still was pretty fast and i liked some turns, especially on my backhand. it was the f4.

there might be a used/demo one in the shop that is close to your dims [i see your used board posts so i have an idea what you ride]. i don't think the tuflites are the best representation of the fletcher quad. i think stretch discontinued them.

the pug i'm riding now would be close but is a little thick at 2.5

I had the same problem last Fall and ended up w/ used 5'11" 18-3/4" 2-3/8" off cl. I bought the board for a trip to use as a good wave board and found it really started clicking when I spent the $$$ and scored performance flex sf4 set The flex for me feels good but I have never surfed any other epoxy board before this so I am comparing it p/u. The f4 is fast and works great on good waves and I am super happy and don't really care that its a tufflite I really wish I had more $$ then I would get a custom shape epoxy from stretch w/ a pintail

Seems like there is always one on the used racks at one of the shops around here as these board are not as popular as they used to be. Like right after he got shaper of the year.

Otherwise not sure where your at, but my boys at Oregon Surf Shop, one of few online dealers, has a new 6-0 poly F4 for 399.95. Good deal! Shipping might not be to bad if your down in CA?

Cheap Stretch F4

Tufflite sucks IMO. Not sure why Stretch even has tufflite models? Doesent really fit his style.

You can find new p/u stretch boards at a surf shop in Pismo right by the pier. I can't remember the name but same street as pier and huge kinda like the Beach house here in SB.

fwiw - the F4 is a good-wave board. if you're looking for more of a daily driver for average california surf, the new pug is probably a better bet. lower tail rocker and a little more concave to cruise over flatter spots.

True. Mine steps up well, but honestly is not a bad daily driver Sept-April.

Thing looks like a good DD too. Esp w/ th e5 fin boxes.

Post a pic of that PUG.

Stretch has redesigned the pug to be a better Daily Driver for the average surfer in average California type waves. Nose is pulled, rocker refined (lower tail rocker and maybe some secret sauce) and some adjustments to thickness flow.

Tried it yesterday and had a terrible session. Crappy waves and I couldn't do anything right. Archer not arrow. Tried it this morning at sewers and it went great. The wave is a ledgy go for broke type take off and the board handled the drops with ease. Hauled ass down the line and laid into turns like butter. Got over flat spots better than any other stretch I've had. It's one session but I really like the board.

It's a demo he made close to my dims. Seriously considering swooping on it if it holds up after some more sessions. Told me to keep it and ride it for awhile so Im going to. Dims are 5'10 x 19 x 2.5. 3.75 nose rocker 2 tail rocker 31 liters

Love the nubsters! It's my new move
