Do I need to glass in a hole new plug or can I reqplace the metal bar on a leash plug. The board is a js epoxy and brand new condition otherwise it happened out of no where on a heavy wave. Is a new leash plug my only option? Probably shouldn't try to do that repair on my own right?

Have someone who knows what they're doing do that. It's an advanced repair for sure.

Iv installed a leash plug before...it aint that hard if you have the right tools and arent a perfectionist.

Iv also noticed on the foamez website they have some sticky leash plugs. Dont know about the quality though.

$5.95

They really do work. Ugly but cheap and effective.

New plug:
If not completely gone, remove bar (dremel may help)
fill plug w/resin
drill out old plug w/proper-sized holesaw
use forstner bit to dial depth
install new plug w/as little sticking up as possible
grind/sand flush
