Here's what you do.

Take your board and go to the rooftop of the tallest building you can find.

Jump off.

Simon, You ever been on a surfboard before?
Hey Simon... You ever seen a grown man naked?
Simon... do you like movies about gladiators?
So Simon... did you ever hang around a gymnasium?
Simon, have you ever been in a... in a Turkish prison?

try to get in the wave as early as possible.

butt if ur doing late drops, i find it easy to take of straight (or very very slightly angled) then go into full on bottom turn.

pull in or blow up the lip after that. repeat as necessary

Engage rail, lean forward, do not hesitate, square your shoulders in the direction you wish to go. Old golf trick: exhale before you catch the wave.

what kind of board are you on? assuming a fun board/egg shape/longboard. maybe a board with more rocker will help.

Most common donkey mistake is not getting to your feet cleanly or quickly enough. I'm amazed at the number of choads who have to drop knee before standing - usually on funboards or longboards since that strategy does not work on a shortboard.

when a chicks funboartd is the dimensios of a shortbaord i outgrew 10 eyars ago..thas a BAD sign
