UC Davis sucks ass
To all in the know. The hustle and bustle of the western world can wear a hole on the shoulders of those whom feign for surf, enjoy the arts and seek to expand the mind through a worldly experience rather than repitition. I am a stellar student in International Relations and Studio Art at a top 50 school and it would be a dream come true to live and work on a surf charter boat in the tropics for just room and board. So to those of you who know what it takes, please inform me what the proper action is to take in order to fulfill this goal,...much appreciated.

Thank You

Yeah but I would say that 60% do not have the ability or the balls to quit all responsibility (& income) to spend 6 months working on a boat overseas.

It's virtually impossible to get a job on a surf charter boat nowadays.

Recently, there has been a huge shift towards employing local people on surf charter boats instead of outsiders. It's better for the local economy, and a positive move for the surf charter companies who have a responsibility to do more to stimulate that economy.

The Mentawai Islands are a perfect example, in the future I think all of the boats will have local Mentawai people on them and rightfully so.
