I guess we can tell the seals with no heads from last week that a squid ate them

if there's a seal or sea lion with no head and the rest of the body is there, it's probably scientists that have taken the head. It's just the way they roll.

sharkiest places are typically around food sources, like where deep water comes into shallows, say farallons or flat mavs, or seal/seal lion, sea elephant rookeries say around ano/dport. of course there's that gw rookery north of the gate, tom.... bay. son of stin beach is a place they attack, but I think there its personal. they primarily attack surfers that, a) have bad hair or an ugly outfit, b) can't do a decent cutback, or c) snake the lineup. But I think it's mostly bad hair. if you see a gang shark attack it's probably on an unskilled aggressive surfer with really bad split ends.

There's a great left off the northernmost point of Point Reyes.

You will surf it alone if you surf it.

Bonus points for paddling over from Dillon.

There's another good left at Ano that you can surf alone.

And of course the right at Surfvid's house is infested with sharks.
