Anybody got a cure? First few sessions and my knees look like raw hamburger and getting up is torture. I guess I kind of drag my knees as I get up.

I had that problem too. Solution , lots of wax in the tail and a good wax comb. No tail pads.

What kind of tail pad do you have? I had the same problems with a Palmers pad, but no problems whatsoever with a sticky bumps....

i had a the same problem in my spring suit with my creatures pad...

tough it out and you'll build calluses if you surf enough..although its kind of painful in the process

Just get a softer pad, if you absolutely need to have a pad. Dakine and Kommunity are soft.

Very simple solution: Dont drag your knees when you get up.

You knees should only be hitting the board during the duck dive and even then you can use your foot.

crisco oil on the traction pad that will keep your knees sliding freely.

I bought some astro deck back in like '86... put a crater in my back foot. Even wore a hole thru my bootie. Still have the knot/scar. I went without a pad for 20 years. Just recently put a creatures of leisure pad on a board. No problems, but feels kinda weird. My problem is the inside of my thighs getting raw when I trunk it. Fuggin' sucks.

Th Astro Corporation should get its personal lubricant division together with its surfboarding traction division for a gnosh of kippers and brie.
