So why is this one the red line? The foot dragging takes up time, which is one of the things people fighting terminal diseases have little of.

The bill was brought forward for “unanimous consent”. It’s basically “hey everyone ok with this?” that can be started by one senator. Also it only takes one senator to block THE PROCEDURE of unanimous consent.

That doesn’t kill the bill. All it does it make it so the bill is brought to the floor and voted on.

Maybe next time you all get right into a case of the vapors you should actually look at the reality of what has happened.

Bill will get voted on in the normal way and it will pass.

Also the fund is currently FULLY FUNDED. Nobody has been cut off.

But will Mitchy just sit on it, like he does with all the other bills?
Yes he will.

I think the particular frustration with this one is it had become a political football for quite some time, continually getting combined into bills with other issues.

This is political theater done by dishonest politicians, being reported on dishonestly by a dishonest press corps.

The “9/11 first responders” are being used as props.

Meanwhile, somebody has their fingers in the cookie jar.

SOP.

They were being used as props when the approval for funds was bundled with other issues, it’s my understanding it’s now a stand alone bill.

No excuses anymore.

If rand and the other monkeys want to actually address spending issues they’re going to have to focus on the areas that there’s actually an issue with it.

Like I said, theater.

The bill will pass.

Everyone can relax.
