According to my life clock, my time above ground was up a couple of years ago. I credit 45 years of surfing for keeping my internal organs strong enough to allow me to withstand the medical miracle that saved my life. So now I've been given a second chance. Considering where I started from and where I am now in life, yes I checked all the boxes, however, I'm not going to relax yet.

My daily activities are not unusual,
I’m just naturally in harmony with them.
Grasping nothing, discarding nothing.
In every place there’s no hindrance, no conflict.
My supernatural power and marvelous activity:
Drawing water and chopping wood.

maybe it's an inherent restlessness that, evolutionarily speaking,

I have been looking at property in Chile, Peru....thinking about

it's a weird feeling....

I actually have the same feelings as you to be honest.

The part I bolder, for me at least, is key to recognize and harness in a positive manner otherwise it just gets you down. I get that feeling and I react by “shaking things up” a little. Depending on where I am at during time it’s varied; from simply taking on more responsibility to a move across country for both professional reasons and to scratch an urge to change things at least temporarily.

I do hope that I’ll feel settled eventually, but I don’t feel like it will.

full potential?
I’m not sure what that means
But I’m pretty f’n happy

I found the secret to happiness many years ago

Lowered expectations

I don’t give a lot of thought to what could be better in my life, but do try to notice the good stuff
I mean, if I think about how little I’ve been surfing, I get bummed out, but I can’t let that get me too much, so I find other good things to do or think or whatever

That, and always having something new going on in some part of my life keeps things interesting
But full potential? Yeah, I’m trying to wrap my head around it, and not really able to figure out what that means

I don't know about "full potential," but I have discovered life is certainly easier when you're appropriately lubricated at all times.

Women tend to understand this at a much younger age.

When your life is winding down you'll look back at it in a totally different light. You'll find that the important things are not your great accomplishments. Your importance lies in the realities you've created, especially the lives you've created and molded. Importance lies in who you've done and where you've stood, not in where you've been or what you've accomplished.

Come on now, every life worth living needs a little nonsense. You cant spend every waking minute of the day being creative, active, engaging your family & friends, etc.

Same with TV, movies, plays, concerts and whatnot.
