It just cannot have anything to do with the strong economy and low unemployment rate providing other opportunities for people in those age groups who previously joined for economic reasons. It just can't.

That's why someone choosing other options amounts to a political statement.

Yeah there are so many quality jobs out there. Besides the recruits of today only know never ending fighting war. Such an easy gig.
I guess when the best choice is move back home or join the military, home is a better option.
