In a recent interview Stab with Crosby Colapinto https://stabmag.com/stabcinema/could-crosby-colapinto-be-even-better-than-his-bro/ he mentions Griffin's boards utilizing some new tech on the rails and that he's using the hand-me-downs without it.

Any insider info on what it is? I was just at Catalyst this past Friday and didn't see anything new (there were some a couple of new team boards on the south wall as well).

maybe a layer of S cloth along the rails, imitating a Torsion Spring Rusty?
Just brainstorming here.
XTR had those Carbon rails and, Firewire the wood(balsa?) awhile back.
It seems like it never catches on, probably because its a pain in the ass to fix I assume.

Rumour is that Slater has a full-size tattoo of himself over his entire body

I really hope it’s flat bottoms with a hard edge nose to tail.
