It was killing me too buddy but you can’t change the waves, so I had to change my program.

I've been banned from better websites than this one.

i love surfing, and i love seeing pics of myself on nice looking waves. Brings me right back into the moment. Is part of it vanity? absolutely. But a bigger part of a good surf shot of oneself is the butterflies and little mini adrenaline rush i get when i look at the pic.

I don't really have a point, except I love surfing and i enjoy seeing pics of myself (and my friends) on good waves. And yes i post them on social media. and no i don't tag the company that made the suit/leash/wax

I will occasionally shout out to the guy who built all my boards, but i kind of stopped because i though "hmm. beautiful wave, but I'm just standing there like the life-long competent but not much above average surfer that i am. Maybe he doens't want me associating with his brand on social media

Do you geotag the spot?

In the catching of those waves, do you prioritize your own social media whoring over everyone else's right to ride a wave?

Do you paddle some hipster kookboat into a lineup of people on shortboards and start lapping them, and then maybe burn one if the face is green because it will look better on social media than one with a rip or some foam up the face?

Or are you a normal Generation X human being who is happy to have the moment captured, but you're not interested/invested in manufacturing the capture of it?
