They (them!) are pushing the whole “sea lions are so cute and lovable unless they get poisoned by man made global warmism!!!!!!”

Sea lions are vicious killers and they always have been.

Domoic sea lions are convulsive and confused and less likely to bite unless you pretty much approach one and stick your hand in their face (Stevie Wonder is a good comparison). They're retarded and worthless after a decent DA event and often euthanized (reproduction of DM pups). IMO DM is good natural cull right now bc there are way too many fcking sea lions.

Right, so why is a “marine mammal EXPERT” on the news saying that domoic acid makes sea lions aggressive and that domoic acid is a byproduct of “climate change”?

Both of those statements are demonstrably false so there must be some other agenda being promoted here.

I think it’s just the old “sea lions are cute and lovable creatures and would only attack a person if they were provoked or are suffering from the effects of man made climate change!”

You see, nature is all about peace and love until evil humans get involved. Total bullshit.

Sea Lions are predators incapable of anything resembling empathy for other animals. They are also prey so live their lives with a constant level of instinctual fear. It should be no surprise whatsoever that such an animal would bite a person.

The ones at Pt Hueneme are super curious. And the big bulls that hang out at the top of Pt. Dume always jump in and “escort” me out of their zone. They are awesome creatures. ______ knows a lot more about them than most,I promise.

I got chased out of the water at Long Beach on Vancouver island by a group of juvenile sea lions, was sketchy they kept circling and barking I was the only person out and didn't want anything to do with them, like a pack of pit bulls.

it is always funny when it isn't you being singled out though, was surfing killers with the gillard brothers and Terry lost his board into the rocks where the seals were all inside, when he went to retrieve it a big one jumped off and started chasing him, biting his booties and harassing him all the way back to the panga in the channel , we were all outside cracking up, Terry said it was hectic...

The whole Demoic thing is just fluff.

Sealions are just typically onerey and agressive. Especially during mating season. Maybe more in the forefront of the news these days because there are more people now out in the water with them.

I remember one foggy day up north at Davenport. Absolute glass. Zero visibility in the fog.

I was sitting out at the left early AM by myself. Summer south swell with long lulls. All of a sudden this creature popp's up three feet in font of me.

An old bull sealion. Huge. Had this white hair around his snout. Big jaws and teeth. He just growled at me then dove down and disappeared. Sh!t in your suit moment.

The other good one back in the day (80's) at 4 Mile was this little spotted harbor seal. He was always hanging out in the surf line.

You would be sitting outside on your board and he would come up underneath you and grab the toe of your bootie. Absolute freakout.

Your foot and leg would get yanked down. Little bastard.

Happened to me a couple of times before I spotted him. Also when you were paddling back out after a wave he would come up underneath your board and bump it.
