I have two sets of those fins as well. Great quality, but I agree they are really tight fitting and require sanding to fit them in.

I'm sure Futures is not happy about pricing .

Thanks.

Interesting. I have a set of the old version Pancho's in solid glass from Futures. I like the stiffness of them but wonder how much stiffer these NVS G10 fins would feel. I prefer ultra stiff fins in my boards.

Both Futures and FCS have made really nice glass fins for the last 12 + years

FCS provided G-10 blanks to shapers for research around 2000 - no one wanted to deal with that - Hard work ;-)

Templates could be better - now I'm in Trouble ;-)

Many fin companies make good fins including the 2 largest. I wanted something from a smaller company in a template I didn't currently have. Was chatting with a couple and one took too long to get back to me and had a great conversation with NVS. That secured the purchase for me and they have performed good for me here in Baja. Many posted about the QC/Fit and I did not have those same issues. I would order another set from them as well as the other brand I wanted.

Not sure what "I am in trouble means", but ok.

Futures wants 150.00 to 300.00 for a set of G-10 fins .

Curtis charged Rusty 110.00 for his friends and personals sets around 13 years ago.

Price is the real story - Fake news ;-)

Todays fin makers charge double or more of what you paid .

The real factor in your purchase .

Nice story tho .

That’s not answering my question and appears to be misleading per usual

This thread inspired me to spend my Father's day amazon gift card on some NVS fins.

I bought the G10 GL fins for $79.00. All I can say is they are amazing. The first thing I noticed is how thin they are compared to my regular fiberglass Pancho Sullivan futures. The width when looking at them from the leading edge is noticeably thinner. They feel excellent when you surf and much better than honey comb. I don't think I will ever not surf G10 fins again. I didn't have any fit or finish issues with my set. They went right in and fit snug.
