Will it be a late tropical season?

yes.

I almost paddled out right now.

But I didn't.

These winds are just killing it down here.

I did get some empty head high waves Friday and Saturday. Bowls.

This is setting up to be a EPAC tropics off season. South Pac has been consistently producing, making the regions that favor long period uninterrupted Southern Hemi energy the hot spots this spring/summer. Heading down soon!

I drove up to Trestles yesterday - got there around 7 - saw the parking situation - turned around and came home.

A look at the cams confirmed my suspicion - quite possibly the most crowded I've ever seen. Complete slalom - very unlikely to even do a turn without complete disregard for the safety of 3 or 4 people.

Q: Secret aspiration?
A: Buy Pezman's mag and turn it into a piece of crap.

It catches some south. You should stick to topanga with ry, neeko, Eric, and the rest of your boys

Unfortunately, there's a large cold patch of ocean just south of Baja stretching down to about 10 degrees latitude.

This cold patch will act like a block wall for any tropical storms to punch thru in the coming weeks. Hopefully it will break down and warm up some by July or early August at the latest.

Until then, only mainland Mexico will see any chubasco surf and/or weather action. wave2
