I'd love to know how FW's numbers are looking.

Their sustainability depends on how much weird looking shit they can put out and market correctly.

Or how well Kelly surfs a board.

Tokoro and Aipa Firewire's up next?

I bet the FRK or whatever it's called is not a seller.

I think it's hilarious they released the Hydronaut...that board is a complete dog in anything that isn't a legit barrel.

You must have gotten a dog.

Mine works just fine in non-barreling waves.

I rode three different ones.

One was my personal XTR that worked well in OH+ hollow surf but paddled like a dog.

Another one was one of your XTRs that looked like it had been scrubbed by a monkey monkey. May have been a Hydroshort. Rode in smaller, hollow point surf.Tracky, tracky. And that pintail felt yucky in the smaller surf the board was designed for.

And then rode another XTR in semi-hollow waves and it was just awful. All that nose rocker combined with the pintail.

That pintail is horrible without a large vertical canvas.

Tomos are starting to look like normal boards.

All the alt-lovers bought up the weird. Pointy nose warriors are an untapped resource.

Brand forces always prevail. Tomo is handcuffed to the corporate greed.

Defrosters latest looks like something of an outline from Biolos.

In that case the mania definitely isn't over.

Which shaper is responsible for the Gamma? After a quick look at the Firewire site, that appears to be the one I'm seeing everywhere.

The Vader was perhaps the most alt looking this-is-not-gonna-work of all the boards Firewire released while likely being one of the most rippable designs for average to excellent waist to head high surf ever made.

Interestingly enough those boards did not sell.

I have popped into a few shops and the ones I have seen are sitting on the racks, yellowing (YES I KNOW MARK PRICE TOLD YOU FIREWIRES DON'T YELLOW LIKE PU BOARDS lolololololololol)

Also I am noticing less of these boards on the racks period.

I'm not a frequent surf shop visitor, so I will take your word for it.

But there are shitload of Gammas where I surf, and I saw even more on a recent surf trip. No doubt the Aipas will sell like hotcakes.
