Sorry rice. This is not an acceptable position for erBB discourse. Going to need more cussing

As a liberal member of the AirBnB-agnostic stick in the mud community I find this thread to be a very unsafe space. There's a vibe of toxic masculinity and forced binary identity.

I’m so triggered! Where are my airBnB neutral safe words?!?

What if I identify as a bleeding liberal but Fecal seems to think I’m part of the far right?

Let's get this back on track:

Can I put my reef booties in my fanny pack and not excite the closet manlove types?

Exactly.

The problem is that the same people, bar few exceptions, who are anti-AirBnB are also anti-regulation.

For all you anti-AirBnBrs, this ought to get you triggered.
I'm just reading that Marriott is planning to buy up desirable area homes and renting them out as dedicated AirBandBs, although they are high end homes now, once the jenie is out of the bottle it could really fvck things up as you gotta know other hotel chains will probably follow suit

maybe not a direct competitor as they're looking for a higher price & quality. what more importantly it could do is take more full time rental units those real estate investment companies are managing off the market. https://mashable.com/article/marriott-airbnb-competitor-homes-and-villas/

my read is they're not buying but partnering with real estate investment companies that already have houses they probably bought after the 2008 housing bubble. cuts part of the real estate investment company's overhead and they get consistent payments from Marriott without having to worry about collections. maybe Marriott pays them too for updating the home or give them furniture, lines, bath, etc for a consistent look.

Maybe that's why zoning exists?

Just a wild guess.

Craig, haven't you been reading this thread!?!?

Zoning has nothing to do with AirBnB - manboylove told us so!
