Awesome band jam_on

One of my all time favorites.

I added them the "Bands with 3 perfect albums" thread.

Their stuff has aged very well.

I can't be bothered to look up Imagine Dragons... with a name like that, I will assume that they are this generation's Foo Fighters... A band with perhaps the lamest name and the most generic connect-the-dots rock of the last 25 years.

Dave Grohl may be a good drummer, but he sucks as a front man and his music lacks inspiration. Boring as shit. The fact that he is paraded as something worthy speaks volumes of where popular music is at. Blame it on the media for giving him and other boring musicians like Imagine Dragons publicity.

We need another golden era of The Beatles, Dylan, Stones, Cream, Grateful Dead, Hendrix, Bowie, Led Zeppelin...

QOTSA and others are a bunch of generic rockers that very few will care about in 10 years. But hey, if this music gets your jockey shorts in a twist... Rock on.

Music always been subjective. Not sure what you want nowadays, there's wolfmother & Greta van fleet that sounds like classic rock. Remaking the past , sounds boring. All those 1960s- 1970s bands you mentioned lived during a simpler time. There's never gonna be another 'golden era' you speak of due to high volume of bands, individual musical tastes, talent , & different styles of music. So many incredible bands since then which have been just as influential in their own rights.

Regarding QOTSA , you are quite wrong. Many people will still care about them in 10 years. This is the first song I heard of theirs with Grohl on drums. This track released 17 years ago, aged well. Still sounds good.

A few okay songs, but they should have died off long ago.

I think Grohl is a pretty talented musician but what I don't like about his music is the fact that EVERY SINGLE SONG HE SINGS HE ENDS UP SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS.
Every song sounds the same.
