currently all the boards I have are under 6'

I'd like to save up for a performance long fish for my next one, for long point breaks, thinking 6'4

Specifically the Shiitake by Panda Surfboards

Seen it set up as a twinzer and a quad. thoughts on which would go better?

It's not really about which is better but what you like to surf...

Do you prefer quads or twins?

If you prefer twins then go with the twinzer, removable fins make for versatility, use the canards for a twinzer and don't and you get a twin. If you prefer quad go with a quad...

Look what the light did now.

board looks like a good time.

quad will allow for a bit more aggressive line through turns but twinzer will be faster out of the gate IMO.

generally i prefer quads to twins. But never ridden a twinzer and from my limited understanding they feel different from straight up twins. I was thinking with a longer rail line and swing weight it might be nice to have the pivot of a twinzer, but the added hold of the canards. might be cool to try something new.

Always good to try something new.

Never ridden a long fish but I guess it's all about glide, not wo much radical turns and such so I'd just go twin to be honest.

you could set it up as a twin / thruster. i dont mean with just a trailer box either i mean a thruster setup with extra twin boxes at 6.5". can maybr use the rear plug of the thruster sides for a twinzer cannard too.
