I would think someone who has already gone through surgery for ulcerative colitis would be at least a little attentive to diet. Not to mention the other taxes on your body. It seems obvious that the two main factors of health (within our control) are diet and exercise.

I'm lucky. Married to an Italian, so we eat a healthy Mediterranean diet. Home cooking 6 days a week. Meat maybe once a week. Beef maybe once a month. I never feel deprived. If we're on the road, for example last year in Utah, I will eat a big T-bone and relish it. Or when we eat out (once a week) I'll have a big burger or carnitas burrito, but once a week. Moderation is the key. I'm having to learn to moderate my exercise. No more marathons. Maybe..

What if you’re sitting on your butt for 8-10hrs a day 5 days a week and not actively in recovery?

Either because of smokin or computer .

My understanding is that your muscle tissue is in a constant state of breakdown and repair, even when sedentary. You need to consume protein in order to keep up with protein loss computer

Eat Rite 4 your type. Blood type diet worked for me.

I really need to get on a good one, the keto being the most appealing for me. Mainly the sugar gotta go. So damn hard in my line of work to eat well though.
