Been working out a lot and my left elbow is developing some major inflammation on the outside ot the elbow and some minor pain on the inside.

Been doing the typical rest, ice, stretch, method but it's not getting better...

Anyone try acupuncture or other deep tissue methods?

Used to play competitive tennis...never got if from that. Did get it on a temporary warehouse/demolition job years ago...repetitive lifting boards and loading wood all day (PALMS DOWN) did it. Took a LONG time to get better (3 to 6 months). Have to gently build up forearm and supporting muscles around elbow...tons of different exercises/stretches...skip to 2:55 above for specifics. There are elbow braces you can wear too. Old school tennis pro Guillermo Vilas from Argentina had a MASSIVE left arm...about twice the size of the right back in the day.

I have it bad and all my Dr. friends say rest is the best thing. Ive tried rest from being down for various other reasons and mine is there. I will say mine comes and goes.

Done acupuncture, ice, heat, TENS, etc. I did find the arm bands really helped me with having years of "those dont work"

some good workouts online using a hammer and arm twist rubber deal

good info... I have the arm band and that certainly helps but doesnt cure. Just picked up the twisty rubber bar (flexbar?) and i can see how it works but applying tension and slowly releasing it. interesting way to do it because wrist curling 2lb weights dont seem to do a damn thing.

dont get more 1-2 cortizone shots per year unless you're finewith weakened tendons/ligament. buy a flex bar (red one) and do the exercises 4-5 times per day with heat and ice 15 mins each for 5x.

my doc told me if you get to 3 cortisone shots - youre getting surgery...

Update on this... the flexbar seems to be working after only 2 days... trying to do 12 x 5 sets a day... did the frozen ice in a dixie cup deep massage...

If you cant afford to get trigger point, teach your wife or sig other. Where you have pain and its muscular/soft tissue, tell her or him to dig their thumb into it and when you scream like a bitch as in its 8/10 on the pain scale. Hold it there until your pain drops to a 6. Then dig deeper until it's an 8 again.

Do this a few times, then flush with a gentle massage like 150 strokes towards the heart. Follow by 12 mins of ice.

When I've had elbow problems from playing golf rest has always fixed it. When I was really addicted to golf breaking from my practice routine wasn't easy so I'd make it worse until I had no choice but to rest. A couple of weeks of doing absolutely nothing to fire it up would always fix it.

What's the difference between conservatives and liberals?

Conservatives get angry when you lie to them. Liberals get angry when you tell
them the truth.

Sounds like a low testosterone problem. You might want to take care of that first.

I developed tendonitis from too much indoor rock climbing. Just got one of those trusty bars yesterday. Hoping it’s as magical as the reviews say. Looking to not injure it again and do some outdoor rock climbing soon

deep tissue ice massage, stretches, flexbar routine seems to be working!

its definitely a little painful with the ice and the stretches... but it seems to break up the scar tissue... and this morning my elbow was a little sore from the treatment yesterday.

i went out of town last week and really didnt do any stretches, just the flex bar. had zero pain until this morning...

This worked for me as well. That was after months and months (over a year) of pain, buying every strap marketed, acupuncture, RICE and three or four cortisone shots. The above method was recommended to me by an old broken down stuntman. Within a few weeks I could swing a framing hammer, hit the heavy bag, lift heavy, all with no problem. Previously I was having a hard time picking up dog crap in the backyard with that hand. I have had two others try the above and also be cured. Most people can't accept it. Everyone I know that has had the surgery is a permanent cripple. I omitted the ice by the way. Ice always made it feel worse for some reason.
