As we were watching, my wife and I kept yelling, "Just stop! Why not just stop everything?!"

Hahah. Slowly giving me an anxiety attack.

Pretty funny and super watchable. Douches putting on a festival/scam for douches.

Exactly. Anyone who would be attracted to what these uberdouches were selling deserves whatever they get, but those poor people who got ripped off should get five minutes alone with Billy McFarland and a blowtorch.

My gods, what is wrong with this world where "Instagram influencer" is even a thing. What kind of moron listens to these people?!?! How do people so stupid have so much money that they have a hundred grand to spend on a Blink-182 show?

Should be noted that executive producers of the Netflix doc is The Jerry Group, the same guys who managed the social media for the festival. They are obviously trying to distance themselves or provide their narrative as to what happened. They come off looking like independent contractors who didn't know what was going on, but I think they knew what was happening.

Right? Did they talk about their part in accepting the pay for censoring public feedback for an event that was clearly in peril?

I watched the HULU documentary where they got the interview from Billy. Dude is either suffering from PTSD, under threat, or a bit on the spectrum

It is all about people buying into status so they could humble brag on their Social media. I hope they learned a lesson but I doubt it.

There was a gofundme for the local lady with the restaurant and she was repaid by the generous online public for the savings she burned through supporting this festival (with the assumption she was getting a multiple year contract for the festival).

Can't say the same for all those laborers and contractors. Ouch. Another round of colonization for them.

Meanwhile the two American festival attendees won $9M in damages in a lawsuit (I doubt they'll get paid, but still).
