This so much this! It's god's country, especially after the rain.

PM me and I'll make you a map. After the high tides and big swell I bet theres some interesting stuff washed up along the beaches.

Should be a beautiful weekend and theres plenty of opportunity for non muddy walking up there if you want. In fact, I might plan a low tide dog walk for the family tomorrow....

It's been longer than that for me.

I agree and would never map a map for there.
Just thought it was mentioning how unbelievably fickle it is. Saves erBBers time and hopefully puts less eyes on it cheers

I never knew that spot had a name. Always thought of it as "that one spot".

Well there is an invisible spot called The Spot, about a hundred miles north of that one spot. Even more closely guarded.

It was beautiful up here today and looking better tomorrow. Early this week was just nasty. I have been hiking private oak grove cattle canyons lately, getting shrooms and exploring a bit. It's completely awesome, the wildlife just yards from hwy 101 under the oaks, chaparral, creeks etc.

Forgot to mention, and it's an EPIC stop, and also is open tomorrow and Sunday is Arroyo Hondo Preserve. If you want to see a mountain side Gaviota canyon in all it's green lush glory, that's it right there. If it's booked, beg them if you have to, or just sneak in from one side of the canyon.

Thanks again everyone we had an awesome weekend. Did alot of your recommendations and had a blast.

High point: brunch at the Beachhouse at Hendrys beach, and the Salt Cave massage.

Low point: Arnoldi's. Pretty meh and expensive or the quality of the food. Chill vibe and good service though. We thought it tasted like Olive Garden but we may be snobs when it comes to Italian.

Really dig it up there, were going to head back soon!

It didn't used to be.
It's been a good 20 years since I've eaten there.
I always opted for Mom's Italian Village.
