Former LSU Tigers offensive lineman Matt Branch lost his leg following a Dec. 28 hunting accident and remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Micah Heckford, a friend of Branch, told Brian Broom of the Clarion Ledger on Tuesday that a dog jumped onto the truck bed that Branch was sitting on and accidentally stepped on a shotgun's safety and trigger.

Stepped on the safety and the trigger?

Sounds like there's more to that story.......no way a dog clicks off the safety off a gun and hits the trigger while jumping in the truck. Somebody f'ed up and is blaming it on the dog. Probably the same guy that his dog ate his homework too.

Dawg was pissed LSU beat Georgia this year.

Definitely seems fishy. Wonder what kind of shotgun it was, might actually be possible with a benelli or another shotgun with the button safety on the trigger. What shit luck if the stories legit.

In all seriousness, I can't believe a dog clicked off a button or slide safety then somehow came back and got the trigger too.
That's two actions by the dog with the same shotgun with a dogs paw. What did they put peanut butter on the gun to get it to do that? I call total BS.

Dogs have inadvertently “shot” quite a few hunters over the years. Fences and tree branches have gotten more than a couple.

Remington 870s have the button safety on the trigger as well, and they're one of the most common guns. This doesn't seem too far fetched to be honest, but this hunter was a dipshit for not taking the round out of the chamber when he was at the truck

Georgia?

That the team ranked two spots below Florida in the coaches poll, that had their souls ripped out, again, by Alabama's backup QB, and then laid an egg in the Sugar Bowl against some Big-12 trash can after Bevo almost trampled Uga?

You know why ducks fly upside down over Georgia?

Nothing worth shitting on.

2019 going to be glorious. Miami in Orlando, Tennessee, The Barn, and FSU in Gainesville, and UGA getting what's coming right here in Duval.

I wonder how the SEC feels right now that a little ACC team from literally the Carolina backwoods is the best team in college football right now and is going to take over the dynasty from those herringbone-loving assholes?

Did those fences, dogs or tree branches claim the safety was on too?
not debating a dog shot the guy, doubtful he clicked off the safety and then pulled the trigger.

there's a reason you have a safety on if the gun is loaded, like in case your dog jumps on your gun.

We'll see about the dynasty nonsense. LSU and UGA are getting five stars left and right and the Clemson D that wasn't on PEDs is all headed to the NFL. That said two more years of Spicoli as QB could be all she wrote.

Yeah, pad could have pushed safety off and claw could have grabbed the trigger.

The only way to stop a bad dog with a gun is a good dog with a gun....a vewwy vewwy goooood dog, Who's a good dog? Who's a good dog?
