Gary told me at the Boardroom that he's going to start getting his boards glassed locally in Oceanside. I don't know what that does to shipping costs, but Gary seemed to suggest that it would lower the cost.

If you can't find one, this might be a good option.

Yeah. I don't want to be the first one to jump, but if it makes Gary's boards more accessible . . . .

Good luck....

I just picked up a 5'9 rasta torus twin, and love it, it would be cool to have an opportunity to order a custom through the USA at a better price

Just contacted him the other day. He had his USA guy email me. He's in Puerto Rico as is the business address of the parent company, which I assume to be his US base of operations? Wouldnt that still be pricey to ship? The exchange rate for his boards in US dollars put his top of the line stringerless carbon with graphics at less than $700 USD

My question though, that his rep never responded to was who is shaping and finishing his US shapes? Machine I assume, which I would be fine with, since I know it would be to Gary's exact specs. But if some ghost shaper...

I was told that Gary is personally finishing the blank and then it is being glassed in the US, FWIW

just hear back. Distributor said they are "manufacturing" in CA. They are working on their first batch, so he didnt have prices yet.

Still kinds begs the question about who is actually shaping/finishing the boards, right?

Talked to him today. Shaped by machine. Finished by some long time CI guy and glassed from someplace I forgot. You tell Gary your specs and he creates a file for the guys in Oceanside to cut. Prices are close, but a little higher than whats listed on the USA site. The standard top of the line with the carbon rails and pattern spray is epoxy glass over poly blank.
